COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The soldiers that dragged the 100 cannons up the side of Little Kennessaw Mountain knew something about fortitude. This ale would not let them down. A piney/citrusy/ danky IPA, Cannon Dragger is aggressively dosed with “C” hops all threw itʼs journey from the grain to the glass. Itʼs pays off, Itʼs a feat of amazing beer strength!

16oz growler, served at around 45F. Kegged in November 2012 if memory serves.

Pours cloudy amber with a two finger off-white head that leaves nice rings of lacing and recedes to a light cap.

Aroma is oranges, orange marmalade, citrusy hops, melon, caramel malt, a hint belgian-y. Good strength.

Flavor is orange marmalade, melon, fruity hops, decent bit of caramel malt with some sweetness, average bitterness, light alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, oily, good carbonation.

Strikingly similar to the Ezekiel’s Wheel...almost makes me wonder if it is Ezekiel’s, but the keg is marked as Cannon Dragger. Lots of fruity hops and almost a Belgian character. Pretty good, but awfully expensive for what it is. I know they’re an upstart, but their pricing is pretty extreme.

Bottle share at Evernote. Big malts on the nose that turn to thick hops on the palate. Heavy stuff.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orangish amber with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma is balanced between bread malts and subtle hops. Taste is very well balanced between bitterness, malts, pine, and hints of citrus.

Pours hazy dark burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of caramel, pine, and citrus. Malt forward flavor with some pine and citrus with lots of bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Decent beer, but too malty for an IPA for me.

Tangerine aroma with grapefruit underneath. Cloudy copper, thick sticky yellow head. Honeycomb, overripe orange, wood, lemongrass. Full body, easy carbonation. Big and well balanced, as malty as it is hoppy.

Pours a standard gold color with a white head. Flavor is piney and a bit of citrus sneaks in. Tropical fruits dance around the bitterness. Good beer.

Tap. Pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma of citrus fruits and hops. Tastes of citrus, honey, and pine. Bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Refreshing IPA that’s not too bad.

bottle with some dude on the label .. . tanned orange .. foam is in order .. . light resin, grass, caramel, and hop spice .. . decent for the most part .. . . Even though I’m a killer for hire, I’m doing this pro bono. That means I get to keep the bones.
