COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The soldiers that dragged the 100 cannons up the side of Little Kennessaw Mountain knew something about fortitude. This ale would not let them down. A piney/citrusy/ danky IPA, Cannon Dragger is aggressively dosed with “C” hops all threw itʼs journey from the grain to the glass. Itʼs pays off, Itʼs a feat of amazing beer strength!

16oz growler, served at around 45F. Kegged in November 2012 if memory serves.

Pours cloudy amber with a two finger off-white head that leaves nice rings of lacing and recedes to a light cap.

Aroma is oranges, orange marmalade, citrusy hops, melon, caramel malt, a hint belgian-y. Good strength.

Flavor is orange marmalade, melon, fruity hops, decent bit of caramel malt with some sweetness, average bitterness, light alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, oily, good carbonation.

Strikingly similar to the Ezekiel’s Wheel...almost makes me wonder if it is Ezekiel’s, but the keg is marked as Cannon Dragger. Lots of fruity hops and almost a Belgian character. Pretty good, but awfully expensive for what it is. I know they’re an upstart, but their pricing is pretty extreme.

On tap at Summits. Clear copper pour with thin white head. Nice thick lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and sweet malts. Very balanced. No real bitterness. Which I like so kind of a let down. Citrus notes hit first then comes a nice caramel backbone. Very creamy and smooth

Draft at Hunahpu ’14 (I’m assuming this must be the Cannon IPA listed). Orange-gold pour, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine. Tastes sweet grain, citrus peel. 7.0

Drafts from notes. Citrus all up in it. Sweet citrus to start which moves to bitter citrus at the end. I’d call this one a winner.

On Draft at the brewery poured a dark orangish color with tons of citrus hops in the aroma with some light caramel. Flavors were citrus fruit and some caramel malt but the citrus hops stole the show a nice ipa overall.

Supper hoppy high gravity palate pleaser for the IPA afficianado. Another BHB triumph!

Drinking with Westmeister at the Brick Store. This beer poured a slightly hazy orange brown with a decent sized head. Smells of citrus fruit. This beer’s sweet malt backbone was not strong enough to balance the hops. Carbonation was a bit less than ideal. A good beer and another strong offering from Burnt Hickory. Draft - Brick Store - Decatur, GA

Aroma is seriously hoppy - boing boing boing! Pours a nice, somewhat hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Flavor has strong hoppy note with hints of honey and fruit. Texture is firm and smooth with lots of fizz and liveliness. If you like hoppy beers, look for this one next time you are in the Atlanta area.

On tap. Pours a hazy orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has some light citrus and orange peel with an underlying sweet grain note. Flavor starts with some sweet citrus and orange peel with just a hint of bitter citrus that comes out in the finish.
