3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16oz growler, served at around 45F. Kegged in November 2012 if memory serves.
Pours cloudy amber with a two finger off-white head that leaves nice rings of lacing and recedes to a light cap.
Aroma is oranges, orange marmalade, citrusy hops, melon, caramel malt, a hint belgian-y. Good strength.
Flavor is orange marmalade, melon, fruity hops, decent bit of caramel malt with some sweetness, average bitterness, light alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, oily, good carbonation.
Strikingly similar to the Ezekiel’s Wheel...almost makes me wonder if it is Ezekiel’s, but the keg is marked as Cannon Dragger. Lots of fruity hops and almost a Belgian character. Pretty good, but awfully expensive for what it is. I know they’re an upstart, but their pricing is pretty extreme.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ The Porter Bar. Pours bright dark orange with medium fizzy white head. Aroma is medium caramel malt, sweetness throughout, and light citrusy hops in the back. Taste is similar - lightly syrupy sweet caramel malt dominates, dry bitter hops finish out. Some grapefruit and pine notes but light relative to the malt here. Needs a bit more hops, but really nice beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
1/24/15. 22oz bottle from Five Points. Hazed deep orange pour, almost amber/red, under a really nice off-white head that sticks and coats the glass in lacing. Really nice aroma, citrus, pine, nice and dank, just enough malt backing it up. Really nice flavor, a little old school, citrus, pine, dank, refreshing... I’m actually enjoying this very much! Nice bitterness, not over the top, finishes dry with a lingering fresh hop kick. Tasty stuff!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty strait forward IPA, a solid offering from Burnt Hickory. Heard a lot about this brewery and finally got to try. Would buy this in 6pks if released but not the price for the bomber again for a good standard IPA. Nonetheless a solid offering and I hope to see future releases from these guys.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber bottles on 1/9. Glad these guys are bottling some stuff finally. Solid beers all around this one is no exception. Big malt body, lots of caramel and a bit of candi sugar sweetness. Creamy off white head that lasts forever. Nice lacing. Looking good. Nice grapefruit and light fruity citrus aroma. After the malt the flavor had a lot of the same grapefruit with a touch of bitter resin pine on the finish. Good balance. Good body. Nice for a straight up ipa.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at the Southern Filling Station. Pours clear orange, with a thin, beige head. Citrus, harsh resin, rye, and pine. Very bitter, with a fair malt backbone. Heavy, sticky, and very astringent. Unpleasantly bitter, and overly harsh.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber bottled on 1/9. Clear orange pour with a frothy white head. Nice juicy aroma full of citrus fruits and candied grapefruit and orange zest. Good batch. Flavors were bright and citrusy with a lingering bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel was medium full without bring viscous. Awesome stuff. These guys are legit and their ceiling is high.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange from the bomber with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is nice triple c hops, pine , earth and citrus. Taste follows, nice caramel malt to back it up, sticky mouth, good carbonation. Pretty standard, but didn’t miss on anything either, well done.

Fruity aroma. Like seriously, fruit juice. Would never have guessed thus was an IPA.
