COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As our flagship ale, Zeke (thatʼs what we can it), is a text book example of the word ďBad AssĒ. A grainy malty yet wonderfully hoppy ale. Loud and mysterious, Zeke is a wheel that is well rounded and perfect for any drinking conspiracy.

On tap. Pours a near clear orange gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice note of citrus with a bit of bitter grapefruit and underlying sweet grains. Flavor is similar with a nice citrus note throughout with a sweet grain backbone and a bit of bitterness.

5/8/14. On tap at Bleu Pub. Almost clear light amber orange pour with a small khaki head. Actually very surprised by this beer. Dank hop aroma, bright at first, gets more dank with warmth, touches of acidic lemon peel. Nice flavor, but not mind blowing. Dank, some citrus, a bit malty, pale malts and caramel popping through. Not bad at all.

Opaque orange pour with tight white head and lace. Aroma of sour apples and light citrus hops. Orange zest, earthy tones, a light breadiness. A tad thin and watery.

Appearance: Yellow-orange body, delicately hazed, with a moderately-sized, white head.

Smell: Faintly toasted white bread slices gently soaked in citrus juices with supporting notes of grain, caramel, and flowers.

Taste: Opens with bready pale malted barley with a thin glaze of sweet caramel. Floral, citrusy hops yielding tones of lemon, tangerine. Medium degree of hop bitterness. Drying and endearingly fruity on the back half and through the near-crisp finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Reasonably malty, fruity hop profile, refreshing and nicely carbonated. If the Burnt Hickory Brewery was a country its chief export would be smiles.

Draft - Caramel and grapefruit. Cloudy gold with a good white head. Caramel and dank hops, pine and grapefruit. Decent APA.

On draft at the brewery, poured a dark orange - amber color with aromas of light fruit, oranges and banana, with some citrus hops added. Flavors were the same as the aromas with some light bitterness or orange peel in the aftertaste.

Robust, malty aroma is quite hoppy, more at an IPA than a regular pale ale. Pours a somewhat hazy, slightly dark amber with a rather thick and persistent off-white head. Mouth-filling flavor has a malty core with a strong hoppy overtone that is scarcely bitter and a hearty, slightly sweet fruity note. Smooth texture has OK body and fizz, and leaves a satisfying hoppy finish. Drinks more like an IPA, and so what - itís great! Give it a spin!

Big head. Clear gold. Light. Thin finish. Low hopping. This isnít a bad beer, but itís definitely a little boring.

Pour from growler. Hazy orange pour with white head that diminishes rather slowly, spotty lacing. Smell is light sweet grains, light citrus, delicate fruity hops. Taste is more fruitiness (fruity esters /infection?), medium lingering bitterness, citrus, sweet light grains. Some of the fruitiness appears to be from some noticeable yeast. Not bad just just different and I am not sure intentional with noticeable esters.
