COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AKA Scrumpy. A still cider only available on draught or in 2 or 4 litre plastic containers drawn from the barrel.
ABV varies but is usually 6.0%-6.5%
NOTE: Not to be confused with the slightly sparkling "Farm Pressed" version sold in 1 litre glass flagons.
Burrow Hill Cider is pressed from traditional cider apples and matured in oak barrels. The result is a vintage quality cider which, to the best of our knowledge, is the only cider in recent years to have won the cider championship awards in Devon, Somerset and Herefordshire all in the same year.

On gravity at Reading Beer festival, 01/05//09. A very clean cider with plenty of yeasty dryness and some tart apple fruit. Perhaps lacking a bit of rustic character, but drinkable nonetheless. Good.

Gallon jug from the farm. The first cider I had nigh on 6 years ago that showed me the depth of flavour and quality that real cider could contain. Pale and hazy. On the nose fresh fruitiness and refined oaked bouquet blend together with an added earthy component underpinning them both. Incredibly drinkable and subtle with some residual sweetness blending well with high tannins and fresh acidity.
