Bottle @ London Gatherying, Nov 05. Fruity apple pie aromas. Pale and spicy with off dry flavours. But on the whole does seem slightly sweet and fizzy.

Bottled. A golden cider. The aroma has notes of apples, wood, and horseblanket. The flavor is acidic with light notes of apples, leading to a very tart finish. Too dry for my liking.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear yellow with a small and dissipating white head. Violent carbonation and pressure in the bottle. Leathery and tannic aroma. Light body, huge bubbles, very dry and sulphurous apple accents. Astringent finish. Rough stuff. 171210

Pours similar to the red in that it looks like cava. Aroma is fresh and slightly peppery, dry underripe cooking apples, a bit of lemon and some sort of earyness. Taste is similarly really harshy carbonated in a good way, some nutmeg, the applesseem top have lost somethin in the taste but still a very very good cider.

[Bottle from Peckhams] Aroma of chalky apples, quite and unusual, pungent aroma. Light mouthfeel, dry, slightly tart Not as good as the red.

750ml bottle (bottle fermented) at the RB London gathering, November 2005. A classy little number. And so it should be 7 quid a bottle (which seems to be the going rate for bottle fermented ciders). light fruity aroma with biscuity edges. Reminiscent of a Spanish cava. Reasonably dry, with some light acidity and undoubtedly refreshing. Rather delicate and refined. And that’s the problem really. A lot of the appeal of ciders for me is their rough, farmyard character. And all that is deliberately left out of this one. Quite well done but I think I’d prefer a gallon of Roger Wilkins’ scrumpy straight from his cobwebby barrel for the same price.
