COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Cask; Special (Gold Medal Ale series) - February 2011. Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly in recognition of some of the ’greats’ of history. This month’s story :- To blaze a trail for the transportation of livestock by air the Guernsey cow Nellie Jay and cowman Elsworth Bunce were flown over the crowd at the 1930 St. Louis International Air Exposition. Nellie was the first cow to fly and Elsworth the first person to milk in flight. The milk was then poured into containers and parachuted down to the crowd so that even flying pioneer Charles Lindbergh could drink a glass in celebration. As a publicity stunt, Elsworth certainly milked it for all it was worth. A truly mooooving experience. Colour: Straw Nose: Well hopped Taste: Fruity bitterness Hops: Pilot & Amarillo
