COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special (Gold Medal Ale series) - November 2007.

In November 1954 ’H-H-Hancock’s Half Hour’ first panted out over the airwaves. Written by Galton and Simpson and starring Anthony Aloysius St. John Hancock, the lad himself, it broke through the BBC’s music hall style comedy barrier to create the first British situation comedy. In various forms it ran until 1963 and included such gems as the test pilot, the blood donor and many many more. So stone me, drink an armful and enjoy the memories.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber beer with slight white head. This spoons had a Burton Bridge Fest on, and served at a proper temp, how about that!! This is a dry malty bitter with a tobacco background, like drinking cigarettes. Bitter on the finish, fairly average.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Fruity malty caramel aroma. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some fruity hints. Sweetish malty finish with some hints of caramel.

Another in the Gold Medal Ale series. Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber. Ashy, earthy malt aroma. Sharp hoppy taste with a suggestion of almond. Fruit in the background. Tight bitter finish. Quite decent.
