Bottle from Utobeer. Serious let down. Looks great, Black / brown, huge creamy tan head but sadly it settled all too quickly and was a sign of impendineg mediocrity. Am I mad or does this taste of very little else other than apple peel? There is possibly a very very slight hint of malt and yeast. Flavour is absolutely identical. As is the finish. Fantastic it is not.

Jan 6, 2007 Nose is gently dark with some malt and a hint of chocolate. Pours opaque dark brown with a persistant lacing head. Flavour is rich with a bitter finish and some light dark notes of coffee, liquorice and chocolate. Aftertaste is fresh and moreish. Not bad.

Dec 26, 2006 nice dark chocoalte brown, lotsa head, chocolate nose with some smokyness. bitter choc flavour, coffee, slight citrus almost. i love this beer. got at the lcbo. p.s. put the burton bramble as available at the lcbo accedent sorry...

Dec 17, 2006 Bottled as Christmas Porter. Pitch black coloured. Small light brown head. Sweetness, cocoa, fruits and light spice in the aroma. Flavour of cocoa, spice, fruits and light roast. Medium bodied. Dry mouthfeel. Light herbal roasty end. Qutie easy to drink porter.

Dec 12, 2006 Bouteille de 500 ml achetée à la LCBO (Toronto, ONT). Arôme: Odeur de chocolat et de caramel. Apparence: La couleur est brune foncé presque opaque avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col beige mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de café et de chocolat. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Dec 3, 2006 Bottle from Vineyards Ottawa. Hazy brown with a thin beige head. Aroma is mainly malty and somewhat sweet. Taste is similar plus some roasted malts and a touch of hops.

Nov 20, 2006 Deep reddish colour with a foamy tan head. Fruity aroma with a light roasted malty note. Malty, light roasted flavor with a sweet note.
