| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Dark brown, with a nice head. The aroma is pretty weak with notes of roasted malt/coffee. The flavour has discrete notes of coffee, caramel and chocolate. It’s a porter that is thinner than the average, and it’s probably a good one to start with, if you are new to stout/porters. yespr (12443), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Mild roasted and mild fruity aroma. Flavour is mild roasted followed by a nice citrusy fruity note. Mix of acidic roasted malt and citrusy fruity notes before and into the finish. Light acidity joining in into the finish. mgermani (871), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Weird aroma - sour cherry, black currant, plum, sort of soapy/shampoo. Wow... not at all what I was expecting in terms of taste. Reminds me of a flemish sour ale more than a porter; acidic, slightly roasted, bitter and medicinal. Ok body and good carb, but I really can’t wrap my tastebuds around this one. Thanks to Robinvboyer for such an unexpectedly odd beer! albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England

This porter isn’t as striking as Burton Bridge’s Damson Porter. Like their Bridge Bitter, it has no real surprises; however, it’s not as strong a beer as that one, either. It’s a bit thin without a particularly strong flavour. It’s just tasty enough not to find too much fault with it, but it could be better. chops (60), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

Not many stong aromas. Decent flavors but a little bit thin for a porter. I expected better. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark
