Cask at O Connells in late February 2006. Found my rating missing on RB, though marked as added in my notebook. Deep wooden brown/amber colour with small white creamy head. Aroma is wood, some caramel and quite much grassy and earthy notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slight fruityness.

Cask at Babington Arms, Derby. Nut brown, very thin head, caramel in nose, subdued vanilla, rather thin, bitter finish with a slightly cloying sweetness

Cask at Crosse Keys, Wetherspoon, London. A golden ale with white head. A pleasant beer with slight toffee flavour with a hard hoppy finish. I like the hop blend, Progress are on e my favorite hops. A bit thin bodied for its strength but overall a good beer.

Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Light brown, thick head. Not to my tastes this one... Faint toffee/choc flavour on a insistent bitter background, which is unpleasant on the finish.

From the Alex in Derby from the hand pumps. Light/medium brown in colour, the use of a sparkler to form a strong head. A light refreshing beer & a good session ale.
