Mar 2015 - Cask at the Masque Haunt. Old school nostalgic pump clip. Yellow, slight haze, small off-white head, full lacing initially but it drops off quickly. Aroma is toned down, air, very light tartness. Body is medium, pretty smooth, no real carbonation. Taste is watery, lager and lemon, a little tart, some cabbage, finishes with a nice level of bitterness.

Cask at the Water Witch, Lancaster. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel, light floral, buttery. Taste is more of the same. Sweet finish. Buttery.

Cask at the Salt Cot in Saltcoats (JDW) Looks like a low carbonated lager. Suffering with a cold at the moment so lack of aroma may be due to this. Not much taste, bit of apple and some honey but no strong flavours at all. Drinkable but not great.

Appearance pale. Nice aroma taste okay if a little uninspiring. At second pint surprisingly strong. More bitter on palate than I first thought. Good session beer.

Quite why this is a bitter and not a golden ale is beyond me. I know itís quite a low gravity ale but it is still on the thin side of average for its strength. Drinkable but nothing really stands out and hits you. On the other hand could be one of those cask ales that on their day can exceed all expectations. Who knows. The pint I had resembled Fullerís Discovery which I donít rate as one of their better beers. Will give it another shot one day.

On cask at Burton Bridge Inn - Light straw body, lacing white head. Aroma is a mild, fruity malt, with a little citrus in the background. Flavour is a lovely malt, with hints of caramel apples. Light bodied, very well balanced, beautifully bitter, a great session beer this one.

Pint at the Old Manor in Bracknell - old notes. Gold with a reasonable head, light aroma with a hint of citrus. Very plain tasting, I struggled to pick out the flavours. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Dry and very mildly fruity. Missable.
