Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Mid gold with a small head. Appealing sweet violet aroma. Rather creamy, buttery taste with some malt and apples. Interesting grassy aftertaste with very late bitterness. I liked this.

Cask. Aroma is a mild, fruity malt, dark amber, tiny off-white head, loads of lace. Flavour is a lovely malt, with hints of caramel apples. Light bodied, very well balanced, beautifully bitter, especially easy to sup. Great offering!

Has a nice apple-like hops aroma. Quite crisp with good bitterness in the finish. An excellent session beer.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2005 Re-rate, handpulled at the Burton Bridge Inn, Burton, Staffordshire. Longer bitterness this time around, little bit more of a polished pint. Original rating 3.0, cask at Dead Poets, Holbrook. Light gold, had the crispness and sharp sweetness of apples certainly. Not much bitterness to write home about. Just above average.

Cask at The Old Manor, Bracknell (JDW). A pale gold colour with a good white head, lasting to the bottom of the glass with lots of lacing; citric hop aroma; full creamy flavour with a hint of apples; good long bitter finish. Refreshing, and definitely with an appley (but not cidery) feel.

Cask at the Brewery Tap, Brentford, pours dark gold with a fine lacy head, nose of malt, crisp good and little peach, tastes dry-sweet with more juicy dry peachy favours then a dry bitter bite. Very good golden ale.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel, barley, yeast and light apple. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.
