Cask at The Roundhouse, St. James’s Terrace, Nottingham. Golden? Yes - and crystal clear with a small head and no carbonation. Delicious? I wouldn’t go that far. It’s certainly not unpleasant, though; a mild, slightly hopped taste with some citric notes, a bit buttery, let down by the abruptness of the finish and the absence of a defining aroma. A decent session ale but no more than that.

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Very slightly hazy pale golden beer, decent white head. Lightly bitter nose, some bready malt, also a bit tangy. Quite fruity on the taste, sweet bready malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish that ends pretty quickly [18112011]

Cask Conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton. A golden to straw coloured beer with a white head and lace. On the sweet side with honey notes. Toffee appears too. There is a hoppy hint but overall too sweet and not my thing.
