COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Cask; Special - February 2002 (Gold Medal Ales series). Every month the brewery produces a beer to commemorate a moment of history by marking the event with a Gold Medal Ale. Brewed using an appropriate hop, a different beer each month features an unusual or amusing event in history. These often forgotten or little known events are intended to add fun and conversation to the bar. February 1912 had its ups and downs with Albert Berry making the world’s first successful parachute jump from an aeroplane over Missouri and Frantz Reichelt failing in an attempt off the Eiffel Tower (his cause of death must have been Terrestrial Thrombosis - a clot colliding with the Earth from a great height). Both men were remembered in this beer made with American Crystal hops and German Brewers Gold.
