Part of the monthly Gold medal series. Nice clear deep golden colour. The aroma is fruity, with some floral notes, but its all rather restrained. Quite dry, with tangy hop and some appley fruit. Clean and fresh with some bitterness on the finish. Very palatable, and in excellent condition, but nothing really outstanding here. Cask (handpump), Burton Bridge Inn, Burton-on-Trent. This is the Burton Bridge brewery tap and a pleasant place to visit, but I was a little disappointed to find this was the only beer on that I hadn’t tried before.
