COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - February 2004.
This is a pale beer with a refreshingly well-rounded, full-bodied bitterness from Challenger hops, together with delicate blackcurrant and herbal aromas derived from American Willamette hops.

Cask-conditioned. Pear and strawlike hops with faint biscuity malts. Some sweetness and quite bitter. Flavours dont seem to blend together, not in great condition.

Cask Handpump at the Crescent, Salford 27/02/2004 Golden coloured hoppy and slightly creamy on the palate. Crisp bitter lasting malt finish.

Cask Conditioned, at the Masque Haunt, London.
Golden with lacy, static, foam, white head. Quite on an unattractive aroma. Sweet, distinctly honey flavour. Organic honey. The flavour falls short in the middle and the end. No bitterness or malt at the finish.

imdownthepub (7473) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2004
Cask Conditioned at The Market Porter, Borough. Pale copper beer with foamy head. Sulphery nose giving a good start, but then a sweet insipid caramel malt flavour, with baked biscuit and a little fruit. Disappointing beer after good start.

Clear light bronze in colour. Aromas are biscuity malts, sulphur and floral hops. Flavours are fruity malts, more sulphur (it is Burton!), butter and bitter finish. Thirst quenching and addictive.
