On cask at The Diggers. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of lemon, caramel and grassy hops. Similar flavours with a dry finish. Moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Lingering lemon and grassy hops and really quite bitter. Not bad at all.

Cask, The Criterion, Leicester, 20/05/11. Orange amber, slim white top. Aroma of chalk, almonds and bile. Light husky taste, strong bittering hop with an overbearing mushroom dankness. Sound condition. Poor, well-made, anachronistic bitter.

Good Intent, Rochester. Hop integrated premium ale. Decent and well constructed, but not overwhelming. A tad old fashioned.

Cask. Yellowish orange colour, with small big bubbled head. Aroma is fruity and flowery hops along with some mild earthyness. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite basic.

Cask (Kitty’s, Helsinki)
Mid orange, brief thin head. Aroma of wet sheep and mushrooms. And ammonia. The beery aspects come together as a pretty Scottish style aroma. Sacchariny sweet and bitter taste, and also those mushrooms come back. The finish is a mush of chemicals and esters, not a balanced beers melange at all. The ammonia’s reminiscent of public loos. Not all that bad, but just a few too many negatives with every attribute. I don’t think that they didn’t clean the pipes properly, as this had already been on for a short while. However, it wasn’t quite right, that’s for sure.

(Cask at Baltic Fleet, Liverpool). Golden colored, medium sized yellow head. Sweet and lemony aroma with even some spicy tones. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is basic aleish with lemony yeast and hops, aftertaste dries to have crispy, biting touch. Still just basic cask-ale.

Cask@The Red Lion, Isleworth, WLondon. very thin and boring, with grainy malt characters, and a lemony acidity, not a favourite of mine.

Cask handpull at Red Lion, Isleworth. Gold/copper, thin off white head. Lemony citrus with floral hop. Quite full in mouth with bitter finish as well as hoppy. Some pear drop on finish. Yeah good beer.
