On tap at Branston Country Club, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Nose is light, with crackery malt and light English hops. Flavour is smooth and restrained, with crackery malt and very light floral hops. Smooth palate and easy to drink. Decent stuff.

My review could be a carbon copy of the last review. I however DO like golden beers. I had this as a fresh pint (first of the barrel) at the Clarendon. Golden colour, caramel nose. Nice. Not as hoppy as I was expecting but nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at the wheatsheaf, cheadle. Pours clear golden with a good white head. Earthy start, mild hop finish. An old fashioned golden beer rather than being overly hopped. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on tap @Devonshire Arms, Burton-on-Trent, on 08/11/2012. Pours of just amazingly clear golden color, with a small off-white head. Mouthfeel is smooth, light bodied and low carbonated. Taste isnt distinctive at all, slightly sweet caramel and lolipops upfront, a bit malty and grassy in the end. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter for that kind of beers. Very drinkable beer, thus - Recommended, but only for the classic cask ales lovers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cast at the Wellington, Birmingham: Slightly hazy golden coloured brew with an subtle fruity taste and nice hoppy finish. But the name of the beer, yeah i thought more spectacular taste, smell etcetera.

Used to be a regular guest in one of my locals but rarely seen now: this is a review of a hand pulled pint in The Plough, Shifnal (22nd Feb 2012). Fairly dull colouring of gold/blonde beer with a full but thinning head of off-white foam; could look a lot better and sometimes does, or at least it used too. Nose had a mild hop feel, floral with a mini citrus finish. The taste is hop first and last, with a malt content that prevents the beer being too bitter our sour and allowing some sweetness to equal out the floral hops that dominate the initial flavours. Pleasant and worth trying. I had mates who wouldn’t leave the pub until the barrel was empty a few years ago (it didn’t have the same effect on me).
