Hazy orange coloured with an off white head.
Fruity aroma of spices, earth and wood.
Fruity flavour of apples and spices. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England Mar 2, 2006 Bottle from Beers of Europe. It’s very rare to see a Belgian style beer brewed in the UK, so I was certainly looking forward to trying this one. It pours a darkish, brown colour. The aroma is malty and yeasty with plenty of dark fruits. Apparent alcohol in the taste, bready malts and lots of fruit. Not the best example of the style but always good to see a British brewer trying new things. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Mar 2, 2006 Aroma gives darkish fruits, with nutes and sweetness coming off the malts. Taste is also fruity, however the yeast, which seems to have an effect on all the burton ales, doesnt compliment the bittering hops as well as it could maybe and leaves a slightly bad taste in the mouth. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Jan 19, 2006 (Thanks to Papsoe) 50 cl bottle. Cloudy amber colour with a large fluffy head. Aroma of caramel, alchohol and fruit. Flavour of alcohol and fruit from the hops, ends up bitter with a high carbonation. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 31, 2005 bottle. translucent copper body with a medium creamy white head. aroma has creamy yeast, bread, and a slight piney bitterness.warm yeasty alcohol flavours are definitely present as it warms. orangey and has some faint bitter chocolate too. soft and unassuming. yeasty mouthfeel. decent and drinkable.
