Bottle. Oldschool flavour. Has that Orvalish cosmetic, yeasty, farmyardy, dry orange peel type flavour, but is couple with with some toffee apple and caramel/chocolate. Dry, salty finish, medium bitter, but finishes quite dry. Funky and fun, reminded me of one of eczematics homebrews.

strong malty and toffee like aroma, cloudy brown hue with a good brown head, malty with toffee notes, strong alcohol tones, glossy palate, this is a classic bottle conditioned sample, an excellent warmer.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. Pineapple aroma, perhaps some fruit salad flavour Chewits too - yummy! Ruby brown colour, with a massive fluffy head. Surprisingly light and fragrant, dewey in the mouth. Some strength in the finish. A unity of flavour - rose/grape with heavy malt and cognac tang. Quietly menacing, tasty and satisfying. Well worth checking out again.

I love these burton beers. deep orangey colour with a foamy white head. flowery yeast, fruit, spicey anise and caramel aroma. flavour follows with some berry-ish and hard candy notes. big alcohol really tickles the brain. lots of fun.

Bottled:
Fruity (plums), light sweet and alcoholic aroma. Hazy reddish color, stiff frothy, light brown head. Sweet malty flavor, light fruity sourly. Notes of cherries, raisins and rum-plums. Roasted malt components, coffe flavor, dry and bitter finish. Strong, complex and very nice fruity beer. A pleasant birthday drink for me.

Monastic apple cider within rusty wooden casks...Hop seams on heavy allspice and coriander coats...Heated originality for this strange Belgian/Bitter hybrid...

Fresh hoppy floral nose. POurs to brown mud like colour with a decent light brown head. Complex flavour with raisins, coffee and toasted malt. Has a long lasting massively tasteful finish.

500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 8.0%. Copper coloured beer, large off-white head. Lovely aroma, vinous and fruity, also oaky and spicy notes. The flavour is VERY oaky and spicy, fairly sweet, with a fruity finish. Salty and bitter aftertaste. Powerful stuff!
