COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special (Gold Medal Ale series) - May 2010.

Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly in recognition of some of the ’greats’ of history. This month’s story :-
American Prohibition started in 1920, but massive illegal profits from bootleg brewing had bred violence and political corruption. The Wall Street crash devastated the economy and abolitionists campaigned for ’beer for prosperity’. Consequently New York City Mayor, Jimmy Walker set the barrel rolling by organising a beer parade on 14th May 1932 in which 100,000 people marched to cheer for beer. The Act was repealed in 1932. Well done Jimmy.

Cask, gravity at ’Knotfest’, (Pluckets Wedding) in a field, Cubley Derbyshire, 22-05-10 Pours amber with some hops on nose (I understand that they are Williamette & Nugget) some fruit also. Taste is fruity, touch tangy, nothing exciting but fine. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask. Great malt nose, some fruit and candy too, pretty copper, small custard head and plenty of lace. Flavour is a wonderful malt, red plums, caramel and toffee notes. Light bodied, very well balanced, extremely easy suppin’. Fantastic Session!
