3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a straw gold with brilliant clarity. A soapy white head that fell fast and no real lace just a few spots. Nose is light corn and light grain. Thin and a only a hint of green apple and some corn sweetness. Hops are floral and light and go a bit grassy as the beer warms. Taste is clean and has only a mild hint of green apple, and DMS. NO diacetyl and this finishes with a bit of grass and hop bitter. No real fruitiness and a crisp carbonation. Balance between malt and hops was practically even and only during warming did the hops emerge. There was a touch of light acidity in the finish and this finished mostly dry but with a touch of sugary taste at the very end. Mouthfeel is thin and pleasant and a bit watery.
It’s got less of an apple taste than some other beers I have rated but a thinner body overall. The DMS was in acceptable limits and this beer had only a bit of sourness to creep on to the palate as it warmed.
Style notes - the standard lager can have little to no malt aroma, fast fallihg head, light body from the use of adjunct and DMS is allowed in low levels. The dms did creep on to the palate in sufficient amounts to keep from wanting another one of these. BUT the green apple sweetness was less than some other beers like molson canadian an d even heineken so I teetered between 2.75 and 3.0 for a taste rating. I gave it the lower rating because I do nto want another.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from 12 oz can into schooner glass
Appearance: pours a sudsy white head that recedes rapidly with very little lacing. Color is pale straw with abundant carbonation.
Aroma: mild aroma of corn and lightly toasted barley
Mouthfeel: light, watery, and crisp with a quite dry finish.
Flavor: again a mild combination of corn sweetness, sweet barley malt, and some grassiness.
Overall: not offensive and not a bad beer for the price range.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I’m actually oddly sympathetic to this beer, it’s not bad for being a ridiculously cheap industrial macro lager. Poured from a 50 cent can, this beer has the most bland clear yellow appearance, i’m almost impressed at how watery they managed to make this beer appear. Aroma is tolerable, industrial grainy smell. Taste is relatively OK, not as watery as it looks, not in the same league as craft brews but has a lagery pale malt taste that occasionally lets the vague hoppy flavor come through. I associate this beer with tailgating, campfires, and other rural shenanigans. Works for those occasions where you’re not really paying attention to the beer you’re drinking, but least you can recognize that it is beer.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours very light yellow. Almost no color at all actually. aroma of sweet corn and a bit of skunkiness. The flavor entails corn, water, and bubbles. Lots of carbonation. I have to say there’s nothing bad about any of these macro pale lagers. There’s nothing exciting about them either. This tastes like, you guessed it, beer. Its better than soda.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
From can. Sweet nose, with light corn and mild solvent and alcohol aroma. No hops. No off aromas, however. Pale straw clear, with visible carbonation and thin white head with a tiny bit of lacing. Dissipates quickly. Light watery body with heavy carbonation. Not much flavor at all to this. Like a seltzer with a hint of sweet corn and mild alcohol, tinged with the tiniest bit of hop character. No floral or fruity character, no off-flavors (sulfur, etc.). Finish is watery and smooth with no aftertaste.

Smells light crappy grain with a hint of crappy grain. Yellow color with a large whit head. Light soapy bitter beginning that fades into the finish.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
24oz can in Seattle. Standard american pale lager. Crisp and cool, light sour malts. Creamy body, lactic corn. Oddly full bodied. Not great by any means.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
It kills me that this is sold as a 40oz for like $4 while a 12 pack doesn’t cost much more. I’m pretty sure that sums it up.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Bought this because I could walk in with a dollar bill, and walk out with this beer and some change. Pours clear with a hint of yellow and a big soda head. Aroma is very, very faint aluminum. Taste is like water and aluminum with an astringent corn aftertaste. This may even be worse than Natty Light. At least it drinks easy enough.
