1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 jsquire (2484) - St. Marys, USA - APR 19, 2003
I worked my ass off at my parents this weekend, getting the vegetable garden ready for planting and moving brush from a dead tree. I come in and realize I can have a Czar or a Busch. Since I'm sweating and we had chicken for dinner, I poured a Busch (my Dad's beer, mostly because it and he are cheap) into a frozen mug and chugged it. Damn, it was refreshing. I was all set to rate it fairly well until I poured the second one into the now unfrozen mug and actually tasted it. The thin, corn sweetness is cloying and other than that, there is nothing. Bottom line, if you are hot and sweaty, and the Busch is very cold, it is enjoyable. Otherwise, pass.

I hate to say it, but I actually like this beer better than most American lagers. It has a bit more "bite" and I like that. Unlike most other macro brews, at least I know I’m drinking beer when I drink this.

24 ounce can. Pours a very clear, very pale yellow color with a thin head that fades quickly. Aroma of grain, a tinny note and a bit of skunk... odd coming from a can. The taste is grainy malts, grass and a sweet finish. Thin and watery. Nothing to see here, move along...

Had this at my parents house, it was all they had so why not. I poured it into a glass and that was mistake 2. It was a pretty light pale color, no head. No aroma either, I really did inhale. At least no skunk. Taste was like taking seltzer water and adding some light macrobrew for flavor. There really was no flavor, but it was cold and refreshing on a warm evening.

Some cheap SOB brought his in a cooler to drink after a soccer game. At least it was cold. I used it to ice my knees.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2012 Pours a a clear yellow with a decent head that quickly dissipates and no lacing. Smell is of shitty malts, and taste is similar. Some alcohol in the taste, not much else.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 edpeg (500) - Berlin, GERMANY - APR 29, 2012
0,33l tin can in Berlin, Germany. Pours very pale yellow clear body with white medium head. Aromas are sweet malts, fruitiness, corn, hay. Palate is very thin watery with flat carbonation and mouthfeel. Aftertaste is watery, maybe with hints of dryness. However the whole beer tastes like water with little grass and sugar added. Now I know what US light beer means. Not utterly bad, but doesn’t taste much of anything. Thus, good for getting wasted I presume...
