Rating 1075, from the can revisiting an old friend of mine. Now seriously, no one takes a beer like this seriously on this site and even less people will take a serious review of this beer seriously. My review of this beer is much like others that will admit that they drink this occasionally in that I am focusing more on the experience than the actual beer.

Before I joined this site I was not a big drinker. In fact, I started to drink more because I joined this site. Anyways, one of my earliest drinking memories was that of my barber. I went to these guys ever since I was a kid, but it was when I was in college and it was becomming a routine for me to get a hair cut every couple months on a friday right before they would close usually. It was then, after many many years of seeing these guys that they started to offer me an ice cold Busch beer to enjoy while I got a snip. To be honest I cant really differentiate it from many other beers of the quality and style but the experince will live on.

Pours from the 12 oz. can the standard pale straw yellow with a foamy white head that settles into a modest collar. The standard macro fizziness shows, a seemingly endless supply of tiny bubbles. Aroma is almost non-existent. 1st sip tastes like corn chips. Seriously, it tastes like a glass of liqified Fritos!! After letting the beer warm up for a few minutes, the Fritos taste diminshes and is replaced by a watery, slightly metallic bitterness chased by a corny, grainy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is super-light...drink it & it’s gone. Overall, it’s your basic standard Macro Lager. It was offered to me by a friend, I accepted it to be social, & i’m drinking it only to pad my number of reviews. This is strictly for the die-hard macro lover.

Woo hoo! Bought me a bottle of Busch! Pour is a light gold, little head. Aromas are slightly grassy... but that’s even a stretch. Flavor is straight macro malt with no complexity of any sort. Not even an off-putting metal taste. Maybe I should have bought it in a can so I could have more to say. Aftertaste is watery... (which is probably better than any other alternative.) The only reason this is getting any points is that there are no horrid elements... it may be completely pointless, but it is not evil. It has no swirling side notes of metal, rot or butt sweat...and that is a good thing.

Wow this one came in a camouflage can with this written on the can "Cold as a Mountain Stream Smooth as its Name." This is pretty much the worst of the macros I have tried. Hardly any smell other than metallic and corn. Piss clear and just a watery corn flavor. Not good at all.

Pours yellow with a small head. Like a more watery budweiser but not a Bud Light. Not really horrible but definitely not something special. Just a run of the mill cheap lager made for mass consumption.

32oz screw-top bottle. I think I like busch light better. That is a great testament to the quality of this beer. Sweet corn and synthetic metallic notes are about all you can get out of the aroma and flavor. Feels like fizzy water on the tongue, though I have had thinner still. I still like Busch over Natty, but maybe that is just because this is more novel. I’d hardly call it rare, but a thirty pack of this is pretty much impossible to come by in these parts, which is a shame because Busch really brings a nice charming character that Natty just can’t match.
