COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Busch Ice has a rich, smooth taste with exceptional drinkability and a slightly sweet finish. Busch Ice undergoes Anheuser-Busch’s exclusive ice-brewing process, which takes the beer to a temperature below freezing. This leads to the formation of ice crystals in the finishing process, which help create its rich, smooth taste. Ice beer is rumored to have been developed by accident in Germany during Oktoberfest celebrations. A particularly cold year froze the celebrated bock beers, which are traditionally brewed for spring, and a new taste was noticed by the drinkers.

(can - 25 oz) Pale gold pour with a fizzy white head. Bad diesel fuel aroma with an even worse diesel fuel malt liquor taste. Nope.

I missed this classy, classy beer at RBWG, so I searched far and wide amongst all the gas stations in Kentucky until I found one. Well worth the search. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of green apple jolly ranchers and a faint bit of grainy malt. The taste is the same Jolly Rancher apple notes, grainy malts, mild corn in the finish. Thin and watery, high carbonation. Not terribly offensive.

Can shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Pale malts abound in this one, some light cereal notes, hay. Simple stuff. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more sugary cereal, hay. Basic but not terrible.

can. Poured clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Sweet corny grain aroma. Light body, average carbonation. Pale malts, cereal grain flavour, sweet pale malt. I don’t drink Busch often but i prefer just plain ol’ Busch, the extra 0.5% alcohol is not worth it.

Can, lots and lots of cans, this is what we used to drink in college, kept it ice cold, then broke it out to get that 5.9% ABV, which was much more than all those light beers we used to drink. Not a proud rating for me, but I did respect this beer in my childhood.
