COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Busch Ice has a rich, smooth taste with exceptional drinkability and a slightly sweet finish. Busch Ice undergoes Anheuser-Busch’s exclusive ice-brewing process, which takes the beer to a temperature below freezing. This leads to the formation of ice crystals in the finishing process, which help create its rich, smooth taste. Ice beer is rumored to have been developed by accident in Germany during Oktoberfest celebrations. A particularly cold year froze the celebrated bock beers, which are traditionally brewed for spring, and a new taste was noticed by the drinkers.

Clear golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of nail polish remover. Fortunately I’ve never tasted actual nail polich remover, so I’m not sure how the flavor compares.

Can, A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is rather corn-ish, with some generic fruityness. It’s medium bodied and quite dry, with a decent carbonation level. Corn and a generic fruityness in the flavor, as well as a hint of bitterness. Medium length finish. Rather bland and unpleasant this one. 150617

Can shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Pale malts abound in this one, some light cereal notes, hay. Simple stuff. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more sugary cereal, hay. Basic but not terrible.

A light corny aroma. Very pale gold with a substantial white head. Near medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is very pale malt. Finishes with virtually no hop and something of a papery taste. After awhile some bitter does seem to come forth, but not much.

Can 24oz from EZ-Mart in Baldwin, MI. Cold wet alcohol that was worth having once for the tick.

Can at RBWG. Pours yellow with white head. Nose and taste of corn and metal. Pretty awful. Light body.

I missed this classy, classy beer at RBWG, so I searched far and wide amongst all the gas stations in Kentucky until I found one. Well worth the search. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of green apple jolly ranchers and a faint bit of grainy malt. The taste is the same Jolly Rancher apple notes, grainy malts, mild corn in the finish. Thin and watery, high carbonation. Not terribly offensive.

I think I offered this to a bum once and he even threw it away. One of the worst beverages in history.
