Cheap - this is all I can say. My high school economics teacher gave me the best advice on light beer - "Don’t buy light beer cause it’s just watered down regular beer." If you’re a poor college student, go ahead and drink a lot of this before your palate gets used to good beer.

LIght yellow straw color with a fizzy white diminishing head. Very light citric and malt aroma, makes me wonder about the barley pop term. Very fizzy and watery on the palate. A general grainy sweetness greet the senses. That is later taken back by a general bitterness and acidity. An american lager with additional soda water.

Can, thanks to zdk9, almost clear yellow in color with a skunky peppery aroma and metallic sour flavor

Ah c’mon! You mean there is a diet version of Busch Beer? Actually, the Busch Light is not as bad as the full - strength Busch beer. At least the diet version does not finish as gritty as the full-strength version. But it is still a macro-made multi-grain adjunct cereal beverage. You know, the breakfast of champions type.

Can (355ml). Poured light gold with a huge fizzy-foamy unpleasant looking white head. Aroma of corn, rice, metal, other non-beer things. Taste is ... actually not horrible - very grainy and sweet, but not nasty ... until it warms, then it gets a bit nasty. Light body and a bit dry - overall bad, but not awful - beats Bud Light all to hell.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 I had this again recently. Surprisingly smooth for an adjunct filled lager. Aroma of light corn and some carrots. The taste is light bread with some carrots. Actually, not a bad swill beer.

Another corny-sweet beer with little appeal in appearance. But I was surprised that this wasn't disgusting. Balanced to a degree, better choice than many.

Very carbonated. Very light and wattery. Some gross AB flavor, but in miniscule amounts. Really it is carbonated water with some yellow stuff.

Not as hard on the stomach, and not as offensive-smelling, as regular Busch. Who cares? It’s like saying ’Stalin wasn’t as bad as Hitler.’ Would you want to meet either one? Would you want any A-B product inside you?

The non-light version is pale and watery enough-- what inspired the creation of this sad product? Even less to talk about than Labatt Sterling, and that is saying something!
