I will never understand non-alcoholic brews. Yes I know...I should appreciate beer for beer. But damn, shouldn’t it have some alcohol in it?

WCCII: With thanks and no thanks to Argo0. So we’re sitting around having this awesome beer party at Aaron and Kathy’s. It’s approaching midnight and after a second round of Kathy’s scrummy Mexican and a belly fully of high gravity beer my senses are getting fuggy and overwhelmed. My objectivity nose and tongue were clearly faltering. I needed a reference beer, something that would snap me out of saturation city and bring me to my senses. Then Aaron says. "Here try this"! Back lit from the kitchen, the can shone with a peculiar mystic radiance. For the first time I can recall a NA beer never looked so good. But . . .on opening it looked seriously insipid, smelt like stale feral cats urine and tasted . . . well I’m not sure of what. I think they left some of that can cleansing detergent solvent stuff in it. One mouthful was enough to help me regain my senses. I kept looking for rating numbers less than 1 but alas none were to be found. But it had served it’s purpose and reminds me to offer at least one NA at my next beer rating party even if it is to break the heavy serious monotony of all that note taking.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 BuckNaked (1222) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2006
RBSG DC 2006: Pours to a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. The aroma is clearly skunked and highly oxidized, showing sweaty feet and stale corn syrup. The taste is overly sweet corn syrup, sweet celery (really gross), and artificial sweetener. Light bodied, medium-lively carbonated.

Can: With your eyes closed you couldn’t tell this is beer. Flat, stale, skunky; more like coloured bad tasting mineral water.

WCCII: Argo0 boldly stated this was the worst beer in the world. I have had bad beers before so I was really curious. Well, my verdict is that it will be difficult to come up with a beer worse than this. It is indescribably bad. This will be my reference beer for beers around 0.5. Thanks to Argo0 for broadening my perspectives.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 brentfeesh (1179) - Gadsden, Alabama, USA - FEB 7, 2008
Ummmmm. Rated for the “low Alcohol” tic mark only. Nothing wrong with the look. Golden, clear, and carbonated. The aroma is solid BMC light lager all the way. No real off aromas while cold. The flavor is not near as bad as I might have guessed and I think the <1 ratings are a bit harsh. What is wrong, exactally, with the palate and appearance?? It’s not like this thing has great flavors as it warms (and believe me, I did not let it warm that much) but while it’s ice cold it is relatively quenching light lager. Carbonated and watery body. Again, ice cold this was drinkable, but I still wonder why you would drink this??

You know I’ve had low alcohol beers before that were quite tasty, this is a piss poor example of that style and I do mean piss. Nuff said.

surprisingly (?) i haven’t seen this beer in many places, so i was excited to pick up a sixer in houghton, mi. the can itself doesn’t look so bad except for the words "non-alcoholic." pale yellow with lots of bubbles and a big head. smells like grainy breakfast cereal with water instead of milk, and tastes like the water from that same bowl of cereal. water throughout the body and finish, and few other flavors are apparent. why would anyone drink this beer? it tastes like nothing and there’s no booze in it.
