It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Pours a clear copper topped by a timid fizzy tanned head quickly fading to nothing. Some very fine bubbles and no lacing. The nose is honey, bubblegum, band-aid and alcohol. The taste is bold sweet malts with honey and brown sugar with some banana or cantaloupe and booze. Almost whisky-like. Very dense mouthfeel from the alcohol which lingers a long while after the sip. Heavy but still drinkeable, you can let this one age in your cellar quite some due to its high ABV. Cheers!

ASPETTO: pelo di volpe, limpidissimo. Schiuma leggermente giallognola, abbastanza fine e persistente. AROMA: alcolico, abbastanza liquoroso, speziato.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: First thing I noticed was the lack of sediment in the bottle, amber colour, initial one fat finger head morphed into lid of foam, clear, not much lacing on the glass. S: Banana, clove and phenol. T: The First sip triggered a coughing fit, seriously strong stuff, followed the nose with the clove, banana and phenol, pretty sweet, to say it had a boozy kick to finish with would be an understatement, it burned like no other. M: So thick I could have eaten it, carbonation was non existent, smooth. O: Mellowed as it went on but not a subtle beer, I would describe this as Belgium’s equivalent of Special Brew, I think I’ll put the remaining 3 bottles away and hope that age calms them.

Finom sör, kicsit édeskés. Ez - számomra - szokatlan és meglepő volt. Színe szép, homogén. Illata idézi az igazi belga kocsmák hangulatát.

Was given this as an Xmas present. Poured clear Amber orange though tons of sediment at bottom. Aroma sweet brown sugar with some tart fruit notes. Flavor sweet malt alcohol base with cameramen and dryer alcohol finish. Overall a fan

Ambrée orange foncée. Mousse blanche, bonne tenue. Lacings. Aromatique bien sur le maltage sucré-caramel. Fruitée. Alcool. En bouche pareil assez sucrée, avec une bonne balance amère relativement durable. Fin de bouche liquoreuse. Corps moyen, peu de carbonatation.

0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee). Pours clear amber with beige head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, caramel, burnt sugar, fruits, alcohol. Flavor is very sweet, caramel, fruits, some citric notes. Flavor has some alcohol, but it is mainly covered by sweetness. Finish has some bitterness. Overall: ok brew if you want to get drunk fast.

Aromat owocowo-karmelowo-alkoholowy. Niestety alkohol wpada w rozpuszczalnik. Piana dosc skapa, ale ladna i fajnie sie buduje po zamieszaniu pokalem (notabene - fajny ten dedykowany). Smak analogiczny do aromatu, alkohol dominuje. I to ostatnie psuje niemala czesc przyjemnosci.

Bottle, 330 ml from Svijet Piva, Zagreb. Pours orange to amber with white head. Sweet fruity and spicy aroma. Sweet, caramel malty fruity, bit yeasty flavor. Warming, but not too aggressive alcohol. Nice one.
