COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

amber colour, minimal (practically no)head, which, in the light of the high alcohol content, is acceptable; intensive fruity aroma (mostly pear, banana and apple); taste of fruits (mostly banana) with a lot of quite unballanced alcohol; can’t be enjoyed because of the too intensive alcohol - it’s a pity, because it could be a good beer (very aromatic), if the alcohol did not dominate it in this unballanced way, and I could enjoy the fruity harmony of malts and hops.

Olfatto caramello e toffee con note alcoliche piuttostopronunciate, al palato molto caramello che sovrasta il resto, leggera frutta gialla e alcool. Un dolcione eccessivo

Bottle. Poured a cloudy orange brown color. One finger head. Aroma is candy, some dark fruit, slight vinegar. Medium light sweetness. Alchohol is there. Dry finish. Average carbonation. Interesting. Worth a shot. Does have some caramel notes. Coriander.

330 ml bottle from SAQ, served cold in a tulip glass. 16/07/2014.

App.: Hazy orange-amber with a fair orange-tan head. Aroma: Very sweet and fruity, buttery, butterscotch and caramel, some alcohol, needs to warm up. Palate: Medium+ body, prickly, aggressive effervescence. Flav.: Very sweet, a lot of alcohol, somewhat fruity, a bit of yeast, more harsh booze, not great; sweet with minimal bitterness and a lot of alcohol on the finish.

The abv made me suspicious. My suspicions were confirmed. A hot, sweet alco-bomb.

Bottle at Paul’s. Pretty generic BSA with lots of sweetness and thickness. Not a beer I would go out of my way for but good enough if you need a BSA and this is whats on hand.

Aroma is caramel, lots of toffee, nice! Appearance a nice toffee-caramel colour, off-white head. Taste is toffee, caramel, bitter notes which take away from the more pleasant tastes. Palate, too bitter, slightly chewy from toffee sensation. Overall, OK.

Yeast, fruit and alcohol in the aroma. Deep honey gold with thick white head. Champagne like effervescence. Boozy warmth. Candied fruit flavor, slightly bready. Very nice. Very smooth.

250ml bottle from Belgian Beer Cafe. Dark amber almost brown in colour with a thin wispy foam on top. Lots of fruity aromas with malt also in there as well. This is a big beer at 12% but it hides the high alcohol content well.
