COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

330 ml bottle from LCBO (as Scaldis Ambree). Pours a deep amber colour with modest-sized cream-coloured head. Aroma is rich and fruity with strong caramel, vanilla, candy sugar, apple, pear and a little alcohol. Flavour is rich and pretty sweet with toffee, candied fruit (apple, pear and a little dark fruit even), bit of vanilla and some subtle alcohol. Medium plus body. Interesting one.

330ml bottle Pour is copper/amber in color with non distinguishable head. Due in part to the 11.8 abv. Aromas of caramel, fruit cake, figs and apricot. Medium on the body with subtle bitterness on the aftertaste. Overall, a bit boring.

Amber orange hue, luscious head of foamy bubbles followes by a tidy ring of dissipated lacing. A little banana note complimented by a yeasty bread aroma off the top. Some spice as the nose warms. Sweet toffee along with macerated fruit and spice flavours of apricot and nutmeg. Syrupy, wet, lingering and persistent mouthfeel.

It pours murky copper with orange highlights; the head is beige and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: toffee, candied apricots, and fruit cake. The taste is medium heavy sweet with a slight bitterness; there are notes of: hazelnut, fruit cake, plums, and alcohol. The palate is medium full bodied, has light carbonation and a long finish. Overall, the flavourful profile is correct - but the complexity is boring.

Pours a copper with a nice head. Aroma notes include fruity esters, alcohol, and caramel. Tasting notes include esters, apple, pear, apricot. Boozy, high carbonation, and butterscotch. Finish is slightly bitter and smooth, with a faintly cloying aftertaste.
