It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Strong amberblonde beer with a red copper hue. Firm bittersweet taste with an aroma of malt and roasted nuts.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling amber brown beer with a large white fine head. Medium persistence. Aroma of caramel, spices and alcohol. Heavy sweet, medium bitter. Full body, oily texture, average carbonation, warming sweet finish. Overall, a good beer as an after-dinner liqueur.

Very little foam and non-persistent manner but shows a beautiful amber color with copper highlights and slightly cloudy. Nose, moderate to strong fruity odor dominated by banana through which we guess spices. In intensive mouth, it is very round, soft and spicy but also slightly bitter, yet a bit sweet. The final strong and persistent intensity is dominated by the fruity ripe banana with peppery notes.

Bottle from Bruges. Pours bright amber with a big fading cream head. Tastes cery boozy with caramel, sherry, wood and vanilla. Pretty good, but the alcohol is too much at the forefront.

Pours light amber with thin, suspended yeast flakes and a small head. It has a nice aroma of malt, dark fruit, and some alcohol. The flavor has sweet malts, dark fruit, and mild hops that leads into a very dry finish. The alcohol is pretty noticeable in this one, but somehow it works alright. Very enjoyable.

Geruch sehr malzig süß, alkoholisch, belgische Hefe.

Bottle into a new-style Bush glass. Pours copper, orangey brown, small off-white head. Aromas of booze, raisin, toffee, caramel, vague chocolate notes, more booze. Taste has chewy toffee and caramel, lots of carbonation, very boozy, vinous, quite full mouthfeel, plenty of alcohol warmth. Nice, but you couldn’t have too much of it.
