Commercial Description:
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Bottle. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, alcohol, caramel, and malt. Flavor is sweet, alcohol is very present, caramel-like, slight bitter finish. Good body, ok brew.

There was no hiding the alcohol in this big, warm-smelling beer. Pours a murky, yellow-amber color with a large, frothy, beige, mostly lasting head. The aroma is malty with trace notes of lightly toasted grain and moderate notes of cookie and caramel; hoppy with a light trace of pine; yeasty with a light note of damp basement and a trace note of sharp cheese; miscellaneous aromas included a moderate-to-heavy note of orange zest, a light-to-medium note of cognac and a heavy note of spicy alcohol. The flavor was heavily sweet, moderately to heavily bitter with a long, heavily alcoholic, moderately biitersweet, lightly astringent finish with juicy caramel retros. The body was medium-to-full, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was lively with a fairly hot finish.

Creamy attractive head with lots of lace on the way down. Creamy smooth, though a bit of tingling from carbonation. Very satisfying yeastiness and ice cream aftertaste. Excellent palate cleaner after greasy hamburgers. Medium to full mouthfeel. Alcohol only felt much later on.

Pours light amber into a scaldi’s snifter. Very little head recedes to rim -- looks like a golden ale. Alcohol and pine resin notes. Sweet alcohol upfront with a long bitter alcohol finish. Thin. Tastes like a spirit - but if you’re looking for a digestive, it’s quite nice.

Bottle... Clear, amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of dark fruit, honey and a whisper of butterscotch. The flavor is malty-sweet, but not cloyingly so. Boozy, but not obnoxiously so. Lots of caramel. Full-bodied and quite oily with lively carbonation. Fruity, warm finish.

Golden brown in color with a cream bubbly foam head. Deep hoppy smell very bitter. Rich malt full flavor with a lasting malt finish.
