3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rich orange, but little head, still quite nice to look at. Caramel and spice scents. Its is sweet stuff, and ripe banana is detectable, some musty corkiness too, maybe I got a bad one. Alcohol is apparent in the finish. Not grand, but at 12%, and a decent price, heyyyyy....ones all it takes.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The head is a fine off-white that lasts all the way down the goblet. Colour is a clear amber/orange hue. The nose is of a caramel bready aroma with the level of hop presence light and flowery. The first taste is one of a huge flavour, and you can actually feel it warming all the way down much in the same way as a good scotch. There are elements of a creamy vinous note that finishes quickly and rather dry on the back palate. The cognac shape glass adds to the experience as you hold it in much the same manner and in doing so, warm the latter stages of the beer to further release its aroma and flavour.

Deeep amber with a nice head. Good initial malt and the nice sharp hop digs through. Secong sniff is totally dry hoppy. Big smackdown alcohol. Pretty good taste, which rounds out things nicely.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2005 Bright and clear amber. Foamy head with a mix of large and small bubbles. Rings of lace. Strong aroma--banana, sort of tutti-fruity with a nice whiff of booze. Syrupy sweet mouthfeel. A little bitterness and alcohol in the finish. Not super complex but tasty and huge. Watch out!

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear light amber, copper coloured beer with a small head. Fruit and alcohol aroma. The large alcohol content is obvious when tasting. It is not disturbing just a fact. Fruity, bitter taste. It has almost a "snaps" aftertaste where the alcohol is burning in your mouth. Personally I would not drink one myself but I would enjoy sharing one. I will give my wife the rest.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber beer with a good frothy head, and a very strongly alcohol/fruit aroma. The flavour is malty with a very strong alcohol finish. Overall pleasant enough for such a strong beer.

Very large, matly beer. Almost reminds me of delirium nocturnum, just bigger & w/more spice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled, Amber and slightly clouded, chunky head. Strong malty aroma. The flavour has a fiery whisky note alog with light fruits and sweet malts. Overall a nicely balanced dramatically alcoholic juicy beer.
