COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

250ml bottle pooured into a Trappist glass. Pours amber with a average size fizzy light brown head that diminishes rather quickly leaving no lacing. The body is clear with carbonation bubbles floating to the top. The aroma is strawy and grainy with a light yeastyness along with some alcohol. The flavor is first off caramel malts with a touch of toffee along with a moderate belgian yeastyness. There is a slight bitterness and alcohol finish in the end. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Vrij zwaar bier, dat is te merken in de smaak. Deze is vrij zoet, caramel, honing, suikers. Maar niet slecht. Drinkt lekker weg en voor een Frans zwaar bier best wel te drinken.

Pours clear amber colour with white head. Visually low-medium carbonation. Aroma with noticable presence of an alcohol, at the same time you can detect caramel, honey and some spices. Flavor is similar: explicit presence of an alcohol, taste is sweet, with notes of honey, candy sugar and caramel, but at finish you can also detect hop esters: pine, grass, with some floral elements. Body is stick-mouthful, carbonation is low -soft. Proper belgian strong ale.

Clear amber body. Medium white head. Malty aroma, caramel and liquorice. Flavour of liquorice, malt and caramel. Medium sweet boozy finish. Medium body and carbo. Ok but too boozy for the style and my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a 2" beige head with decent retention. Body is a cross between golden yellow and amber and held to the light it shows clouding from fine particulates. Smell is really good with malt and caramel. Taste is rich with malt, caramel, and toffee, and it’s creamy and sweet. There’s a medium-long finish which feels like you just ate a sweet dessert.

Pours a clear orangey amber color, topped with a fairly small whit head. Quickly settling. Sweet malty aroma, lots of bubblegum notes, in a way quite funky aroma. Taste is sweet and malty, some fruity notes, strong, presence of alcohol obvious. I don’t like it - too strong and too sweet.

Clear amber orange beer, small off-white head. Nose is caramel, malt, some alcohol, sweetness, spice, hop notes. Flavor has malts and caramel, some orange notes, hints of yeast, hops, spicy alcohol. Finishes pretty boozy, lingering caramel, orange and booze. Too boozy for me.
