It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

250ml bottle pooured into a Trappist glass. Pours amber with a average size fizzy light brown head that diminishes rather quickly leaving no lacing. The body is clear with carbonation bubbles floating to the top. The aroma is strawy and grainy with a light yeastyness along with some alcohol. The flavor is first off caramel malts with a touch of toffee along with a moderate belgian yeastyness. There is a slight bitterness and alcohol finish in the end. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Bouteille 33cl, V&B Grenoble.

Pours a cloudy amber color with a nominal off white head. An aroma of malt, toffee, and musty raisins with an analogous flavor. Medium bodied. Finishes easily. Not bitter. Strong alcohol content is apparent once it goes down. More of a sipping beer.

Bottle from Real Ale Store, Newark. Deep Amber colour with a off white head. Aroma banana, and toffee. Taste sweet and warming, you really get the alcohol. Thick body.

33 cl bottle from Beergium. Pretty clear amber colour with off-white head. Aroma of bananabread, malts, caramel, sweet dried fruit, you can smell the alcohol in this one... Very sweet taste, caramel, banana esters. Light body, average carbonation. Overall too sweet and got not much else to offer.

Aroma - caramel, malts weak tho... Taste - as aroma - caramely, malty, fruity. Kind of a sweet, decent brew. Also ABV -12 would never tell... while drinking.. maybe after that

10/03/2016: Bright orange color, transparent and bubbly, with small tan head. Ariana and flavor have mostly Amber mLt notes. Flavor is creamy with very little alcohol presence. Smooth and tasty. I don’t know if that’s the best by date or bottled on date...

Bottle@Chapitre. Pours clear amber with beige head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with banana and ripe fruits and some alcohol. Taste is sweet and fruity with banana, ripe fruits and caramel maltyness. Alcohol coming clearly through, so not the best balance.

Clear amber with white head. Lots of aroma of apples, pears and grapes. Seems a but artificially clear in its fruit aromas but still nice though. Lots of sweetness and banana flavor in the taste and tons of alchohol. The alcohol is way to dominating I think. It’s all that lingers in the finish. Not very balanced or charming I think.
