COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Pours amber, lacy white head. Smells of alcohol, sugar, caramel, spices, citrus. Lots of flavors: cherries, cinnamon, black licorice, meringue. Cream, toffee, spices, candy sugar. Big body, some linger.

33cl flesje bij De Gouverneur, Maastricht Alcoholpercentage van 12% Uitgeschonken in origineel 'gebroken' Bush glas Uiterlijk: amberkleurig met redelijk volle witte kraag Aroma en smaak: fruitig, suiker, zoetig, rozijnen Conclusie: lekker bier, alcoholpercentage wordt goed gemaskeerd ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber color. Very sweet caramel aroma. Taste follows with some sweet malts. Pleasant at first but has a pretty nasty, lingering aftertaste. Definitely not my style.

Bottle from a trade with Mathieuc if I remember correctly. Pours a blonde copper, white head that dies to a ring, some droopy pearl ropes of lace. Nose is boozy and a little spice. Tastes sweet, a bit bitter, firey burn.

Bottle @ home. Aged 4 years. Pours hazy amber color with a tan head. Sweet caramel aroma. Syrup, biscuits, notable alcohol and a some vinous plums. A light phenolic note of almonds. Big sweet mouth feel that is smooth initially with an increasing sticky but balanced alcohol character. Loads of caramel. Also toffee, plums, raisins, honey, spices, biscuits, oak and hints of vanilla. Finish is dry with a moderate and lasting spicy bitterness. Lingering warming booze & honey.

Amber colour, tan head, very carbonated. Aroma is spicy, fruity, strong alcohol. The taste begins sweet, fruity, later slight bitterness, caramel, and very strong booze aftertaste that warms your throat.

Bottle at la porteuse d’eau, brussels. Hazy deep amber with white head. Sweet honey and candy aroma and sweet taste followed by alcoholic bitterness. A little burning sensation down the throat, smooth and full-bodied. Didn’t like it at all.

Un’ambrata molto pesante. Corposa di ottima struttura, sprigiona sentori di caramello e biscotto al palato, lieviti molto aromatici, luppoli sopraffini

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has (as the name says) an amber color and a rich head, with a lot of bubbles. Aroma is dark fruits, spices, malts. The taste is a mixture of malts and spices with a good spice and hop aftertaste that goes into a spice flavor and an alcohol warming in the end. Nicely done this beer, a little strong for me, but the idea is good.

Color is clear amber; quickly dissipating white head; lasting white layer - Aroma of malt, red fruits, maybe banana, biscuits, some spices, some yeast - sweet taste, very light bitterness - medium to full body, rather thick texture, average carbonation - sweet, fruity finish.

330ml bottle from Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours amber with a minimal white head. Aroma of malt, raisins although a little metallic. Malty taste, bitter sweet finish. Can taste the warming alcohol. Nice.
