3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle at home (24 VI 2016). Yellow to golden coloured, even amber looking beer, with a firm frothy, snow white collar on top. The body is quite hazy. This is a pretty good looking and welcoming brew for sure. The nose has solid hints of grapes, white wine, and slight features of malt. The taste is not bad. There is a lot of sweetness at the very start, but then comes the spiritlike, alcohol warming sensation. Making this a strong bodied brew with a gin dryness, almost like a jenever infused brew. The alcohol covers a lovely strong blonde features, I presume. As for the mouthfeel, the texture is a bit oily. The wood accents add to the dry effect. The ending of course is pretty alcoholic and heavy. Yet this keeps on being a heavy yet very drinkable strong brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium aroma of malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.
Clear/hazy yellow/golden beer with a slight white/off-white head.
Heavy sweet and slightly/medium dry with malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.
This beer is intense, rather complex, but could be more balanced. This beer is amazing, though it is intense beyond believe. You can really taste why this beer is great for barrel aging. It is super sweet and intense, but the overall quality is simply superb.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Almost clear golden colour. Caramelly sweetish and slightly alcoholic aroma. Taste is not very complex, sweetish, caramelly, light alcohol. But otherwise booze is hidden very well. Surprisingly and dangerously drinkable. Quite good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
BB 15 Jan 17. Pours hazy gold with dense white head. Lots of candi sugar in the aroma, along with bready malt, a little banana, alcohol. The taste has a honey malt character, with candi sugar, a little fresh bread, banana, some booze. Light tanginess. Medium to full bodied. Decent, but too much residual sweetness unbalances it.

So, I have this cute, little Scaldis glass that Dickinsonbeer gifted me a few years ago. Its like a champagne coupe glass. Its really not useful for drinking any beer. Meaning, I basically only use it when I have a Dubuisson/Bush beer. I picked up this beer from Bottleworks. Dated 20/02/2016, which I am guessing is best before, hmmmm. It is indeed a blonde beer, as advertised. Aroma is like alcoholic Belgian cake frosting. Flavor is apple candy with alcoholic heft. I mean, how much describing does a Dubuisson/Bush beer. As usual, they are strong and alcoholic but well made otherwise. Esters are always well subdued, malts are tasty and clean but you always feel like you’re drinking high quality Belgian malt liquor.
