COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created in June 1998, Bush Blond is obviously a discovery in the strong blond ales market in which it will undoubtedly play a major role. It has a light and glistering colour. Hugues Dubuisson who is the current brewer wanted it to be worthy of the famous Bush Amber and gave it the same nice aroma and flavour.

Bottled. An anaemic blonde coloured beer with no head. The aroma is very sweet and syrupy and the taste is also very sweet and a bit cloying. Reminiscent of a honey beer. No comparison to its stronger stable mate. A real disappointment.

Bottle. A sweet orange-peach aroma - very nice. Light yellow color wtih small head. Sweet apple and orange flavor with a moderate acidic finish. Another nice strong ale from Dubuisson.

Bottle. Aroma of fresh fruit, green apples. Hint of metal. Quite clear golden colour, floaties in the bottom of the bottle. Small white head. Peppery flavour with a little hint of bad, strong lager. The alcohol in this beer is much nicer, however.Peppery finish, warms all the way down to your gut.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) A few years ago Dubuisson launched this slightly weaker variation of Bush Beer. They named it Bush Blonde and at the same time renamed the original 12% Bush Beer to Bush Ambrée. I believe a 7% Bush still exists as well as the juicy Bush Noël. Color is blonde - of course - with a lot of yeast sediment. Extremely fruity and fresh despite the large alcohol volume. Very distinctive and aromatic ale. But is to be enjoyed in small portions. 220902

Pour is yellow and fizzy with a thin big bubbled and quickly fading head...smell is of sour yeast, grain, rotten white grapes...taste is not too pleasant at all...corn, alcohol, general yucky yeasty grossness..finish sticky and cloying...

Damn these guys make some strong brews that don’t taste as strong as they say. Pours golden hue with a wonderful head. Flavors- caramel, light yeastiness, light roasted malts. Probably the least favorite of the bush beers I tried in belgium.

Light sweet yeasty nose, with some grass and mild fruity hops. Subtle. Clear dull amber with foamy lacing white head. Medium heavy watery body with mild-medium carbonation. Starts pretty sweet, with sugary bubblegum esters, alcohol warming, neutral fruits. A bit too sweet, actually, reminding me of a fortified beer. Mild hops give some OK bitterness toward the end, but can’t overcome the sweetness to make a more palatable finish. After is sweet, vapory, and leaves a bubblegum tasting chalky residue.

God knows what I’d eaten/drunk before I tasted this, but according to my notes, the aroma screamed strawberry ice cream. Blimey - will have to resample. But for now... It poured a syrupy gold colour with a small frothy head. Besides the ice cream aroma, I also noted some spice characters. The palate is creamy, with caramel notes in a sweet middle and a big dry, warming finish. In fact, I found the alcohol in this intrusive. For my money, it lacks the balance of the Amber. (Bottle)
