Created in June 1998, Bush Blond is obviously a discovery in the strong blond ales market in which it will undoubtedly play a major role. It has a light and glistering colour. Hugues Dubuisson who is the current brewer wanted it to be worthy of the famous Bush Amber and gave it the same nice aroma and flavour.

Robe blonde, fine mousse peu persitante. Nez assez peu expressif sur la farine, les fruits la banane. Bouche ŕ l’attaque acidulée, fruitée, fine bulle, finale assez courte sur l’amertume. Agréable sans plus.

330ml bottle bought at ICBeer in Kwun Tong.

Looks: Translucent golden orange colour with a cloud of yeasty particles; One finger head with crumpety white foam which last for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with quite fizzy small carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet full malt, with very strong banana, vanilla, strong yellow fruits, light pineapples, caramel, sugar, light alcohol, earth, strong Bel yeast and very light grass.

Taste: Medium sweet malt, with medium alcohol, fair plums, banana, red fruits, light caramel, floral, candi sugar, sterong Bel yeast, strong herbs, fair lemon, medium bitter hops and light grass.

Body: Full body. Creamy and thick palate.

Mouth Feel: Rich Pale maltyness in a thick and very smooth background, almost Tripel-like. Strong fruity esters of banana, light plums and red fruits. Quite flowery with fairly strong but tasty sweetness, rounded with strong herbs and lemon. Very nice!

Booze: The 10.5% abv here is notable but rather lightweight compare to other Bush beers. Slightly warm and very tasty. Yes!

Hoppiness: Earth and light grass in nose. Strong herbs, lemon, and light grass in taste; Bitterness is moderate for an abrupt, mid astringent sweet bitter finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Creamy and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is essentially a nicely-brewed Tripel, with decent blond colour, nice head, strong with a bit overdone fruity ester aroma, excellent Pale maltyness with nice sweet fruitiness, and a nice herbal hoppy finish. This is pretty much on the same wavelength with Chimay White, that’s how nice and easy it is. Highly recommended!

Óriási, tartós hab. Színe borostyánsárga kissé homályos. Illata szinte egyáltalán nem érezhető, halvány fűszeres. Íze jól eltalált, fűszeres - komlós, karamellás beütéssel, a háttérből alig előbújó citrusossággal. Nagyon kiegyensúlyozottak az ízek, tökéletes a szénsavassága is. Igen testes sör, de az alkohol diszkréten a háttérben marad.

33cl bottle at home (24 VI 2016). Yellow to golden coloured, even amber looking beer, with a firm frothy, snow white collar on top. The body is quite hazy. This is a pretty good looking and welcoming brew for sure. The nose has solid hints of grapes, white wine, and slight features of malt. The taste is not bad. There is a lot of sweetness at the very start, but then comes the spiritlike, alcohol warming sensation. Making this a strong bodied brew with a gin dryness, almost like a jenever infused brew. The alcohol covers a lovely strong blonde features, I presume. As for the mouthfeel, the texture is a bit oily. The wood accents add to the dry effect. The ending of course is pretty alcoholic and heavy. Yet this keeps on being a heavy yet very drinkable strong brew.

DAA; Bottle 33cl., from Vinmonopolet, Pours large, hazy straw with a frothy short lived, somewhat lacing white head. Aroma is moderate, malt, yeast, citrus, peach, light pepper and banana. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a lasting, citric, black pepper, light salt finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Nice..

Medium aroma of malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.

Clear/hazy yellow/golden beer with a slight white/off-white head.

Heavy sweet and slightly/medium dry with malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.

This beer is intense, rather complex, but could be more balanced. This beer is amazing, though it is intense beyond believe. You can really taste why this beer is great for barrel aging. It is super sweet and intense, but the overall quality is simply superb.
