3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 madsberg (7568) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2003
UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: Hazy golden coloured. Medium lasting head. Aroma is hoppy with some flowery notes. Hints of spices. Flavour is somewhat hoppy and sweet. I get this coriander feeling i often get with belgians. Alcahol not very well hidden. Notes of bitterness in the aftertaste, but not much. This is a belgian strong in the light end for me.

A strong light beer, with a sweet and spicy taste. Not too much head, but a very good beer all in all.

Cloudy yellow with a small active off white head. Heavy sour odor promises tangyness. However, it gets corky, and musty and has a buttery roundness to the flavor that was wholly unexpected. Smoother drier finish than the initial aroma and mouthful would suggest too.The flavor is definitely preferable to the bouquet, and a t 10% it is a good bargain in my opinion.

Hoppy, flowery peacharoma. Swet, hoppy perfumy flavor. Full bodied with a hint of citrus. Some alcohol and vanilla.

Simply Superb!!! Fantastic golden color with a lovely head. Taste is fruity and nice array of spices, the taste comes through very nicely considering the ABV. A must Have!!!
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - JAN 4, 2003
Fat nose for a blond - or any beer for that matter: caramelly and spicy. Clean gold color and a lacy frothy head. Fruity (apples) tastes with a hint of spices in the middle and a chalky dry finish. Round and full mouth fell, but a blunt profile that ends quickly. Fantastic overall.

The alcohol is too apparent in this tripel. The apearence is fine as is the thickness of body, but it’s just too warming without enough flavour for my tastes.
3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 7, 2002
A medium sultry hazy blonde with a decent creamy white lasting head and some nice lace. Either my sense of smell is shot or this also has very little aroma, - maybe hints of spicy fruity alcohol. Real nice creamy smooth texture and body. Medium strongish sweet fruity spicey, hoppy bitter flavours. ABV is very well masked for a 10.5% beer. Pity about the aroma because I think it actually tastes better that the Scaldis or Noel.

Slight aroma, strong taste of alcohol & slight spiciness, stong bitterness. Not very good, Dubya must be proud to put his name on this.
