best find : rich hop taste with long finish & very strong aftertaste (no sugary taste afterwards). A real gem.

Bottle@home after spring garden workout with tobak. Huge foam. Brown haze. Spicy. Dark fruit. Sweetness hides the alcohol very well. A bite more complexity needed. More malt than added sucker.

Bottled 750ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Amber coloured with red glare, medium sized off-white head that went away fast, slight yeasty and alcoholic nose. Sweet malty, fruity, spicy and warming alcohol with touch of metal and caramel in the finish. Pleasant one.

31/XII/13 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home, paired with an assorted cheese plate - BBE: 2013 (2013-1208)

Note: well, ageing this beer for 3 years in my cellar was a good idea! :-)
Clear dark red brown beer, small aery fizzy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, some vanilla, sweet and sugary, malts, honey. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: caramel, hop bitterness, citrus, bit fruity, dried fruits, vanilla notes, cookie dough. Aftertaste: bitter hops, alcohol, bit sugary, caramel, citrus touch, dried fruits and some banana. Paired very well with the cheese plate!

Bouteille 75cl de et partagée avec Tderoeck. BB 12/2013.

Aroma agradable y sumamente frutal.

As Scaldis Noël Premium. Poured into a trappist glass. Mahogany color with a cream colored head that settles but leaves a thin layer. Aroma is quite fruity with some strong apple notes as well as some banana and clove. Flavor is dark fruit with a slight sour/tartness, and some spices towards the finish. The ’bite’ from the sour/tartness mellows as it warms, and the spice notes become more apparent. Medium/Full bodied with a slightly dry finish. Remarkably drinkable for 13%. Overall a nice Christmas ale.

750ml bottle. Poured an amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of yeast and bananas/fruity. Tastes of the same fruitiness, yeast, and caramel. Alcohol content well hidden and creeps up on you. Extra point for drinking on Christmas Eve wrapping presents ...
