Jan 24, 2009 On draught, courtesy of Heritage Liquors. Dark brown and low carbonation. Aroma has sweet dried fruit and malt. Flavor is similar, with more fruit, dried apple, molassas, and other fruit, as well as sweet malt and a very mild and enjoyable alcohol character.

Jan 16, 2009 25cl Bottle. Lovely dark amber color with a small creamy head. Sweet malty aroma with lots of fruits and some nutty notes and hints of Christmas spices. The flavor is quite complex, lots of red forest fruit, caramel, nuts, toffee and traces of chocolate. Very nice !

Jan 13, 2009 On tap at ’t Brugs Beertje. Very good christmaas beer. Deep red color minimal head. Sweet fruity flavor with hints of spice and peaches. Nice to have been able to try on tap.

Jan 13, 2009 Amber with a lasting off-white head. Lots of oak in the aroma, vineous and rather elegant. Sweet malty flavour with vanilla and oak, a little more plain than the aroma promised.

Jan 12, 2009 medium brown with thick white head. moderate-high carbonation with a estery nose. flavor of predominately of a complex estery belgian yeast with some hints of dark candi sugar. the alcohol is evident and causes the beer to be a little hot at times, but does provide some depth. a complex brew that could be even more impressive with some aging. very good though

Dark amber poor with little or no head. Low carbonation. Aromas of caramel, butter, dates, prune, licorice and star anise. Taste of prune, cinnamon and oak. Long good bitter aftertaste with a cognac twist. Explosion of alcohol to the palate.
