COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

Case (244) - GERMANY - MAY 21, 2014
Pours red brown with small quickly disappearing head. Faint caramel aroma. Sweet taste, lots of caramel, plenty of spices, raisins, pears. Alcohol is deceptively hidden and sneaks up on you. This is nice and quite complex but I prefer the Ambrťe, which also happens to be less sweet.

Bottle from cotteridge wines. Ruby brown beer no head and mild carbonation. Aroma of toffee and fruit cake. Taste is dark rich malts, toffee, burnt sugar and an alcohol warmth. There is a hop bitterness to counter yhe sweetness. Medium bodied and moderately oily. Very good.

Bottle from Geers. Dark red pour with thick off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramelized sugars, candied fruits, grassy hops, light alcohol. Taste is quite grassy, nice hop flavor, lots of toasted malt notes, tons of caramel with a warm alcohol finish. Palate is rich and full bodied, a solid winter sipper.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2014 Brown/amber color, small tan head, fast disappearing. Brown sugar aroma. Long sweet finish. Full body, creamy and sticky. Soft carbonation. Alcohol level is high, but well hidden. Not bad, little bit too sweet for my taste.

Cloudy brown color, thin off white head. Full body, creamy, thick texture, soft to average carbonation. Aroma is malts, dark fruits, caramel, marzipan, cinnamon, sugar, rum, hint of vanilla. Taste is sweet, but far from unpleasant high sweetness. Pleasant hoppy aftertaste came as a nice surprise. Alcohol is not noticeable, but it leaves very nice warm feeling. Very complex beer. Christmas in a beer bottle.
