COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

Simple, sugary-syrupy, Dubbel like brew, sharp mouthfeel. Medium carbonation, almost no foam. Typical fruity esters are almost absent, no traditional yeasty touch.
Weird, but maybe Iím just grown out of "Belgian beer- must be good!"

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish brown with a thin lacy head. Aromas of candied fruit and toffee. Bready flavors with fruit, toffee, cloves and black pepper. Lively mouthfeel; peppery on the tongue. Noticeable alcohol warmth. Outstanding winter warmer.

Rubi color with very short head. Sweet and fruity aromas. Some roasty nuances. Intense sweet taste. Full body, low carbonation and strong warming sensation. Good beer to get hot.

Syruppy sweet aroma, cherry, and maybe bourbon. Bubbily ruby with little head that doesnt stick around long. Sweet caramel, cherry and milk chocolate. Hides the booze at first then in the finish you can defo taste/feel it. Warming after a couple sips. The aftertaste is interesting a bit heavy and boozy, but some woody rootiness and lightly sweet and flowery. I prefer a barleywine that has a bit more hops and nutty malt flavor to this sweet sweet liqueur tasting version. But at 12% it?s totally drinkable.

Bottle at home. Pours clear copper with a creamy tan head. Wonderful malty body with a lot of festive spice. Proper winter warmer for sure.

(Thanks, Gene! "Travlr") Bottle. A- Fruit cake, caramel, spices, vinous, nutty, red wine, subtle apple. A- Murky brown color, cloudy liquid, minimal brown head. T- Tart green apples, butterscotch, subtle red wine. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent sour finish. O- Unfortunately, I think this had a bit of a quality issue. It was also of an unknown vintage. Smelled decent at first, but weakened as the head dissipated and had a definite tart apple taste and not much else. Also looked like nasty sewer water. Had a lot of excitement for this one, especially being my Christmas beer, but alas, it was not meant to be.
