Poured a deep clear effervescent amber with a fizzy off-white head. Fruity floral hop aroma. Taste is slightly sweet, with notes of mild fruits, strong hops and a strong alcohol burn, leading to a dry toffee finish. The carbonation in the body feels somewhat forced. A decent brew but not very balanced.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A bit darker than itís sister brew (Bush/Scaldis) with very nice spice overtones. Itís body more than carries its strength, and its flavor makes it a superb winter warmer.

2003 bottle. Pours orange with lost of sediment in suspension. Very hoppy and beaming with alcohol. Orange juice, vodka, and yeast. Oh my. On a whole; lots of punch, not very round, fun. Not bad.

Very smooth and drinkable. Reminds me of an english barleywine. Toffee, Rasin and Maple flavors, some sherry in the nose but very little in the way of fermentation characteristics. Warming and rich, this was a great beer to curl up with one one of the final days of winter. Lots of particulate matter in the bottle.

Very well done soft and complex while hiding the 12%. Rich maple and pralines with a touch of grassy ho resin. Somewhat bready and creamy with a semi-sweet candy note. Clean and balanced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Mostly clear brown/burgundy with a few particles, a sizzling off-white head that disappears quickly. Tangy, rather sweet nose with oranges, some yeast, alcohol, hazelnuts. A bit too effervescent. Flavor is sweet and nutty, with caramel, mild tobacco, warm alcohol and a light bitterness. A strong, uncomplicated, but satisfying beer.

Somehow I was able to try this on tap in antwerp. An amazing brew that poured an amber hue with a frothy tan head. Aromas of spice and dough. Flavors of the same but with a richness that warmed me up. Very smooth.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark caramel with a thick, frothy tan head. Big malty nose full of caramel, prune, apple, orange peel, alcohol, toasted grains, licorice, peach skin, whole-grain bread and a touch of treacle pudding. The body is big, full and warm. The flavors are well crafted with the toasted grains, evident hops and warm alcohol keeping the sweet malt from becoming cloying. The finish is warm and long. Probably the best Bush beer Iíve ever head.
