COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

Initial strong alcohol flavor that overwhelms the palate. Milds as the bottle goes and becomes very pleasant. A surprising blend of sweetness and hops that have a definite holiday spice. I drank it paired with a spicy meal of jerk chicken and salse. The flavros blended perfecly, leaving a warm burn in my chest. A holiday delight.

"large quantities of malt indeed. this one is a treat every year. spices, malt, bitter...all mixed expertly to make this tasty winter warmer. quite good. 12/09 - 2008 vintage. holy s$#%...have some sherry with your beer. couldnít escape the comparison. different than fresh for sure, but quite good. one of the better sippers around."

250ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a beautiful deep amber color forming a small yellow head that quickly disappears leaving practically no lacings S: Very sweet and grainy in the nose. Very fruity too. Strong notes of grapes and wood: Reminds a Port wine. Also caramel, candy sugar, caramel malts, some flowery hops and alcohol in the very end T: Follows the nose. A very sweet beer in the mouth. Caramel, candy sugar, a lot of caramel malts, grapes, oak. Mild hoppy bitterness in the end and alcohol too M: Heavy, creamy and molasses. Medium to low carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste which is more sweet than bitter O: Delicious beer. To be enjoyed as a wine due to its "high" ABV. Warming up and suitable to the winter time. Amber color. A strong sweet alcohol taste. I guess this beer is for the ones with a sweet tooth. One is already too much for me. I like the christmas touch to it.

Bottle bb 10-2015, pours brown with a head that was gone before I knew it (I was setting the bottle aside and didnít even have a chance for good look). Aroma: dark fruit, cane sugar, alcohol, pepper. Taste: raisins (lots of íem), cane sugar, prunes, black currants, dark bread, ripe sweet cherries, spices (clove, cinnamon, pepper), vanilla fudge, molasses. As expected it is very, but not overly, sweet. Full bodied, sticky texture and lively carbonation. Finish is long, boozy and sticky sweet. Itís a great, warming sipper.

Donker bruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zoet en erg krachtig, alcohol, caramel, drop, anijs. Verder zit erg een cognac smaak in. Een van de beste bieren die ik gedronken heb. Blijft helaas niet erg lang hangen anders was de score nog hoger geweest.

Bottle: Dirty brown with a thin, off-white ring. Boozy, tart cherry flower aroma. Taste is caramel malt, cherry..... Light alcohol bitter ( and a stronger alcohol heat)..... Sugars....mellow .....must be the warmth..... A very nice sipping beer.......well done.

Transfer from BA review on 12-8-12- Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance Ė The beer was served a red-amber brew with a one finger off white head. The head faded fast to give a good level of lacing. Smell Ė The aroma is sweet of dark fruit aromas and a nice spicy and lightly boozy smell. The fruit aromas are of cherry and fig while the spice is of a light clove. A light nutty aroma is also present rounding out the other aromas nicely. Taste Ė The taste starts out with the dark fruit detected in the nose with big tastes of raisin, cherry, and prune. Mixed with these are some other sweet candied sugar flavors. A light spice flavor then comes to the tongue along with some flavors of malt. Soon however , a good dose of alcohol flavor comes to the tongue in the form a brandy and wine like flavor. This when combined with the dark fruit flavors leaves a very warming taste on the tongue in the end. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the creamier and thicker side with a carbonation level that is slightly higher then would have been expected for a 12 % brew. The creamy body was very nice for the fruity and boozy flavors with the carbonation level at a bit of a higher level helping with the drinkability, without being overly carbonated and taking away from the tastes. Not bad. Overall Ė This was a robustly sweet and flavorful brew with a very nice warming feel. A nice beer to sit and sip alongside the Christmas tree. Delicious.
