This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

This beer is overwhelming alcoholic like. The taste, while good, is over done with alcohol. It gets definitively better better as it gets warmer. On the whole though, this is not my favorite beer.

Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Nose of caramel, huge alc fumes, ripe dark fruit, a touch tangy on the sinuses with alc and spice. Deep reddish-brown color, Ripe tingling dark fruit, alc. Is a bit hard to take, candi sugar. Finish is sweet, fruity, and warming. Good. But kind of a scorcher for the palate and the stomach.

Sample from HO1K. Pours a deep caramel brown with medium off white head of foam. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Taste is caramel, toffee and a hint of some spices. Very smooth and hides the alcohol well. Not bad but not great. Enjoyable but not my favorite.

Red brown colour, with small head that fades soon, good lace. Smell of pepper, cloves, cinnamon, aniseed, dark fruits. Medium to full body, with a rich, creamy and thick body. Taste is similar to the smell, chocolate, dark fruits, cinnamon, cloves, aniseed. Simply great.

Darkish brown colored, clear, small beige head, not very lasting. Aroma is sweet caramel, brewing sugar, dark fruits, some roasted notes, spice and a touch of alcohol. Taste is very- sweet caramel and brewing sugar, some chocolate, dark fruits and some spice, noticeable alcohol and warmth, fruity finish. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, sticky. A tad too sweet and boozy.

Simple, sugary-syrupy, Dubbel like brew, sharp mouthfeel. Medium carbonation, almost no foam. Typical fruity esters are almost absent, no traditional yeasty touch.
Weird, but maybe Iím just grown out of "Belgian beer- must be good!"

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish brown with a thin lacy head. Aromas of candied fruit and toffee. Bready flavors with fruit, toffee, cloves and black pepper. Lively mouthfeel; peppery on the tongue. Noticeable alcohol warmth. Outstanding winter warmer.
