COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the Brasserie Dubuisson’s renowned Scaldis Prestige, Scaldis Prestige de Nuits is aged in oak barrels for six months. But Prestige de Nuits is made of Scaldis Noel aged in Bourgogne barrels from the world famous "Nuits St. Georges" vineyard. The result is an ale of extraordinary complexity and depth.

Bush de Noël, ripened for 7 months on wine casks from Burgundy (Nuits-St.-Georges).

Bottle 75cl.
Light unclear medium amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy vinous, red wine berry sour acidic, cask wood, lactic notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration. A perfect acidic balance to the heavy sweetness, whre the notes bush beers only have the alcohol to balance the sweet this have the wine tartnes also ;o)). Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20081122]

75 cL bottle huge thanks to Grovlam. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Aroma is fruity wineous and mild acidic. Honey spiced too. Smooth fruity flavoured. Mild spiced and vague caramel malty too. Slight phenolic on the back of the nose. Lingering fruity and warming finish. Fantastic!

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit, medium notes of alcohol and light notes of an underlying acidity. The flavor has strong notes of fruit and alcohol, but also medium notes of brettanomyces, wine, and wood. Nice.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours a hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Very delicious tart and woody aroma. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, notes of overripe fruit, wood and sherry accents. Soft and smooth finish. Quite simply fantastic and one of the best beers I’ve had this year. 311008

Bottle at home. Hazy dark brown coloured with a fast disappearing off white head. Fruity aroma of dried fruits, red wine, vanilla and oak. Fruity flavour of dried fruits, red wine, vanilla, wood and alcohol. Warming finish of alcohol and wood. Nice, but not very drinkable.

Bottled. Hazy orange/brown, faint head. Rich oaky vinous nose. Sweet and full bodied. Vinous caramelly malt provides a rock solid foundation for the peppery red berries and oaky wine character to dance upon. A full flavoured, intense beer that stays elegant and complex despite it’s weight. Drier finish with peppery warmth.

Cloudy dark brown beer. Light sourish nose. Dry semi crisp palate. Sweetish malt with floral notes. A light touch of bitter water chesnut. Light touch of oak and subtle red wine and red fruits - well integrated. A little to dry but a well joined up enjoyable beer.

Tasting at Papsoe
Hazy dark amber color; small creamy head. The ageing in the wine barrels left a nice fruity and sour aroma, vinous and woody, very light chemical products, light alcohol. Good body strength, some sweetness but not cloying, caramel flavor with some fruiteness; together with the alcohol they create a paint remover feeling. At the end the alcohol starts warming. The aroma is wonderful, the flavor is good.
