Shared by mreusch, thanks a lot Matt. Pours a hazy orange-ish, reddish, copper, color. The head is small but stays around. Aroma is wonderful at first a very lightly sour, sherry-like cherry aspect, which I just love. Its very nice and has a very light barrel aspect, which is so light and works great (which is hard to say for any barrel brew). In general very earthy, lightly sweet, just faintly alcoholic, and all well melded. Taste is very similar with that shining lightly sour, sherry-like cherry thing. The alcohol is extremely well hidden. There is a little woody flavor at the end. I know there aren’t a lot of descriptors but its so simple yet so awesome. It has a medium body that has a light tingling, but everything evaporates nicely. Lightly sweet and light cherry aftertaste. Beautifully melded, great beer. I was highly surprised by this beer, I did not think Dubuisson could make a beer this good. 750mL cork and wire , generic tulip glass, again thanks a lot Matt.

750mL sampled on Christmas day with my family. Big thanks to my cousin, ggaughan, for supplying this treat! Pours reddish chestnut, capped with a small off-white head. Dark fruit is the primary aroma, with nuances of wood and some vinous quality. Flavor begins with raisin and malt, which are complimented by berries, red wine, chocolate and wood. Long finish, with dark fruit, wood, and wine. Very nice beer. Thanks, Greg!

Courtesy miketd. Dark brown with an off white head. Rich malt, subtle aromatic spices, belgian yeast, candi sugar, lightly vinous oak. Great combination. The palate on this was perfect- silky smooth with plenty of soft carbonation to carry the flavors. Full body. Great belgian strong ale.

09 vintage. Dark brown pour with a good-sized, frothy white head. Aroma holds definite notes of wine at the start, then shifts to massive components of raisin, prune, date, sweetbread, candied sugars, caramel, and molasses-- classic Belgian strong, but with increased wine presence. Flavor is lighter and carries more of the wine barrel aging-- plum, nectarine, oak, bready Belgian yeast, and a beautiful presence of Cointreau and red raspberry at the finish. Palate is smooth and luscious, but you can definitely feel the bite from the 13% ABV, though it’s welcomed. Very very nice brew.

Entrambi agrodolce in modo equilibrato. Corposa, con un mezzo di carbonatazione bassa. Molto vinosa, maturata e complessa. Adorabile!

Hazy amber beer with small off white foam. Aroma is warm, sweet and oaky, very barley wine like too. Taste is smooth, slight wine like with hints of caramel, honey and some hints of pepper and sweet rum. Quite a tastefull and complex beer.
