330ml dark bottle from Casino, Marseille. Synthetic peach aroma and flavour. A bit of fun and quite drinkable.

A fun change of pace. Yes the peach was a bit syrupy at first, but when the slight carbonation kicked in, it got better. As you would think, quite a lot of peach notes and flavor. Not bad.

Birra speciale. Mezza ambrata e mezza lambic alla pesca. colore ramato chiaro, con schiuma abbondante e fine, non troppo briosa, sentori sono quelli della pesca, con una buona presenza dei malti. Leggermente luppolata, dolce

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2015 Bottle: Thanks... Jason? I think?! The night started to get a little hazy here & my notes were much more... Concise. Golden, copper body. Cloudy, topped with a foamy white collar. Aroma is mostly sweet peaches & peach juice. Slightly reminiscent of those sugar coated peach ring gummies. Taste is much the same, lots of peach... More so sweet than tart. Only a small bit of tartness. Peach juice, sweet peach ring candy flavor again. A touch of almost Belgian-esque yeastiness is the only thing other than peach that I taste. Slightly gritty mouth feel. Overall, this was decent & definitely better than I expected, albeit an entire bottle would be a tad too sweet to tackle solo, I think.

Bottle: The aroma consists of heavy peach with the faintest hint of apple. It pours a transparent golden-amber with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy peach with a hint of citrus. The finish has a touch of apple. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall, not too bad, but I’m not a fan of sweet peaches.

Top fermented, heavy fruit beer, apparently a commercialization of something the students in Leuven have been doing for a long time - that is, mixing the famed Bush Ambrée with sweet pêche (peach beer, usually more or less lambic-based). Creamy, sticky, off-white head, pinkish orange blond colour, clear. Very peachy aroma indeed but not without a certain complexity, hints of mango, orange, rhubarb, caramel, passion fruit, apple sauce, honey, some vague sourness. Strong sweet fruity taste, artificial peach extracts, cloying, apple touch, mellow palate, sugary, lots of candied orange, caramelly malts, resinous but thin finish with hardly any hops but some warming, yet not astringent alcohol. I’m an admirer of this brewery but I kind of loathe sweet top-fermented fruit beers, so I’m in an intellectual battle as to what to think of this... I do prefer the actual Bush Ambrée, that is for sure.

Bottle from Carrefour, Nice. Bright clear rusty copper colour, no head. Has lots of peach in its nose and taste with a heavy texture given its strength.

Bouquette van zoet fruit. Smaak van abrikoos en grapefruit. Klein zuurtje aan het bier. Weinig tot geen schuimkraag.
