5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, - NOV 22, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2011 Bush Millenium Cuvée 2000 2010-05-06, 11 years old, 8-4-8-4-16=40 Cloudy orange amber color. Aroma of malt, vanilla, a bit fruity. Good body; sweet malt flavor, good mix of vanilla and wood, with light fruit. The alcohol is more evident than it used to be, but it’s still very good. A bit oxidised and corky.
Bush Prestige 2010-02-26, 9-5-8-4-17=43 the older bottles didn’t have the vintage on the label; this bottle is about 5 years old (a good exercise in sight of the upcoming Bush Millennium tasting) It pours a cloudy amber color; the initial head doesn’t have much persistence. The aroma is incredibly fresh for this age, with vanilla oak in the front, malt and then light fruits. Good mouthfeel, sweet malt flavor, Bourbon vanilla and alcohol; it’s like drinking a mix of malt and rhum. The beer is a bit cornered here, but this brewage is still valuable for the grace in holding up with the years.
Bush Prestige 2004-11-21, 9-5-9-4-17=44 Cloudy copper color. Strong aroma, malty and fruity (ripe apples), then caramel, wood and cognac (clearly the cask!). Very good taste, malty, avoids with elegance all the possible mistakes: not too sweet, not too oily, not alcoholic, it makes you believe it’s only 7% ABV! Again with evident cognac notes. Maybe, it’s still not mature enough. I love it, and it’s very original, but must absolutely check how improves with the ageing. Another point: it’s a pity that the bottle doesn’t have the vintage year.
Bush Millenium Cuvée 2000 2003-07-04, 4 years old=10-5-10-5-20=50 Cloudy orange to amber color. Original aroma, strong, curaçao, bitter oranges, harmonious wood. Complex, lovely, incredible. And an excellent body, with similar characteristics, cheating very well with the alcohol content: malt, hops, fruitness, Grand Marnier, alcohol, herbs... Can this one be the best one I tasted out of 3000?

Beautiful and chic 75cl bottle. Hazy and brown. Low to medium dirty white head. Nose : It smells really fresh with dominating gauze like aroma. Strong citrus zest. Smoked wood. Fermented cabbage. Roasted bread. Spices. Sip : lively and aggressive carbonation. It attacks the throat but it isn’t mouthful. Low to medium body with oily feeling. Strong wood and smoky dryness with sweet malt and sour lambic like feeling. strong lambs with dominating deep alcohol. Almost if I drunk the champagne with woody limbik notes. Interesting and original. Deserves the fuss.

A; poured a cloudy amber color with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap
S: Complex and delicous. Caramel, toffee, pears, apricots, green apples, raisins, vanilla, oak and plenty of booze
T: Starts out with fruit flavors of pear and apricot, that are quickly joined by the toffee and vanilla elements with alcohol forward; after the swallow, the finish is long and flavorful
M: Medium bodied with considerable foaming that goes on within the mouth. I thought the 13% was well disguised
O: Amazing brew
