3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 22, 2005Bottle sampled @ RBSG 05’ (Montréal) Grand Tasting Particulate yeast suspended amber. Nose of alcohol, mild caramel and ripe grapes. Not very complex, just bloody strong. Finishes smooth but strong, almost like a shot. I’m not one to shy away from strong beers but this seems a bit too unbalanced to me to hold up the flavors.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Martinus (1781) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 2, 2013
Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of wood, malts, banana, quite strong alcohol, light sour touch. Dried red fruits. Sweet flavour, lots of alcohol, wood touches. Astringent mouth feel, finish wood and malts.
Supposedly aged in stainless steel tanks with wooden beams, but nonetheless a more than decent brew! Good combination with duck breast.

Botella. Presencia dorada pálida y opaca con corona poco persistente. Aroma y sabor complejos madera, trazas acidas, caramelo alcohol todo perfectamente integrado en una cerveza espectacular.
