Down a potholed muddy road in Yallingup you will find this little boutique brewpub and cafe. Very relaxed atmosphere with the feel of a University pub. Selection of about six beers on tap, also made available in bottles. This is the rating for the citrus beer. Bright pale yellow, clear, huge foamy head. Really stinky aroma-- my father-in-law said it smelled like his fermenting homemade wine, so I think they may want to clean their lines! Fresh palate (in sharp contrast to the aroma), a light lager backbone with some citrus oil zest and hints of honey. Average but enjoyable.

On draught @ Bush Shack Brewery, Yallingup.
Produced up lightly hazy, a sunny yellow with few and far between carbonation and a quickly diminishing head. Predominately grainy nose, barnyardy and dusty with a sly hint of lemon and an earthy, honey sweetness. Very clean on the palate; lemon candy atop bready, gritty grains and musty, pleasantly sweet honey. Finish is dry, crisp and dusty. The body quite light with moderate carbonation. This works and I don’t know why. Tangy, refreshing sweet/sour mix that is balanced but light. A handful of US hops wouldn’t go astray though!

This came in a wheat ale bottle with a handwritten "sour" label on it. But it is definately the citrus beer from the appearance and taste. Hazy lemon colour with absolutely no head. Sour lemon and orange aroma and tastewith nothing else. Couldn’t drink more than one of these....ever.

Another drainpour :( Strong green apple aroma upon opening that only got worse. MCG with lasting med head. Horrible flavour, I suspect this bottle was bad. Big green apples with a hint of honey.Thin very watery mouthfeel.

Amber-Golden type of colouring with a thick cloud like head. Zesty citrus flavour with a hint of honey.

Large white "egg yolk" head that lasted well and had good lacing. Initial light citrus bitterness that is nice and cleansing but by mid-palate it has fallen away.

Medium hazy muddy gold under a medium size short lasting white head. Faint artificial honey, yeasty sour dough and citrus flower hop aroma. Medium light zingy body. Medium wheat beer like sour with touch of bitter lemon zest flavour. Light sour and mild honey sweet finish. Flavours not all that well integrated but probably the best from this brewer.
